He gave her a wink to reassure her so she knew he was going to pick her. He is really weird and his anxious, desperate face gives me the ick. He looks like a door mat now. I don’t like Sammy either.
Jess and Charlotte’s hair extensions look really dated. I like Jess though she is an old school Love Island.
 
Had a little laugh to myself ..
almost since Day 1 Ty has been telling Ella that he needs to test himself, OK .. so soon into the show🤔 and even if that’s a thought at this very early stage don’t share that thought with your partner. .. but Ty has to do what Ty has to do.
We don’t see everything but its pretty sure Ty has been putting a lot of effort into his chats with Leah to the extent Leah thinks she’s had the green light to pick him [not her fault] .. Ty’s not pleased she does, he does not stand up or smile. Wonder how he feels about testing now.
I expect Ella will be saved and shortly thereafter a proper fit male bombshell arrives and gives her lots of care and attention.
Sam Thompson covered this pretty much on The Morning After this morning, took forever to say it but got the right phrase “Ty overplayed his hand” .. hope Ella can compose herself better in the next few days, there’s TV gold ahead if she can.
And finally.. don’t think I’ll ever get past Mitch saving Mollie, if he hadn’t she would have been left vulnerable and very possibly sent home. Some will think it’s better for her to stay but my point here is if she did go we would have an entirely different show to the one we are about to get .. rinse and repeat.
.. however shows can survive a central character being killed off in the first episode .. think Line of Duty 🤫

Ella needs to not kick off. I get being annoyed with the guy chatting or flirting, but being visibly and verbally pissed off after a week together is not a great look. Tbf he is kissing Ella in bed at night and apparently ignoring her for hours to "get to know" another girl must be frustrating but thats the nature of Love Island.
Better to smile and flirt and show him you don't mind and will move on if he decides to jump ship. Pissing him off makes him feel justified chatting up someone else cause he can't be bothered to argue.
 
Not sure how to share but crying at this 😂

I feel like Charlotte is a bit of place tbh she looks a lot older than 30 too 🤯. Agree about the dates hair extensions not a good look!! As for Mitch and his faces 🤣. Ah that wink🫠 and his speech…no Mitch come on. He’s not used to getting his way with the ladies. Tbh out of him and all his friends he is the best looking lad.

I think the 2 new girls picks were totally steered by the production team, all to create maximum drama. Leah and Mitch make a better couple and I actually wonder if Charlotte and Mehdi would be good together. Love both he and Whitney as people but no chemistry there at all. Best bit of last nights episode was Ruchee sniggering 🤣
 
Am I watching a different show to everyone else? I've watched every season since it came back in 2015 and this is easily the most boring one I've watched. Same old cheesy tasks (the same task every time - coming from behind a door and saying a cringey line, sliding down something, getting sprayed with something and then having to kiss someone of the opposite sex), same boring conversations of people that clearly have no interest in each other so linking themselves to each other for the sake of it, same dragged out morning chats about the night prior... and I also cant take to any of this year cast. WHAT AM I MISSING???

I love this for Maya Jama. I think she’s great! Far more entertaining and a complete natural in comparison to Laura Whitmore.

I didn’t watch Love Island when Caroline Flack was the host. The first season I watched live was the first Winter season.

I did feel for Laura, after what happened with Caroline Flack, I’d imagine it was hard shoes to fill. Definitely just wasn’t her jam though.
 
My guess is that's the all platform rating including catch-up. If so, similar to S9 figures. In comparison, S8 was a smidgen under 5m.

16-24 is a made-up demo. It's 16-34 that advertisers track. 25-34s actually have money.
 
Is it just me , maybe I’m misremembering, but I swear in the older series once people were in their couple they were quite closed off and tried to make it work, and they were in those couples for quite a while. there was none of this ‘I’m recoupling with someone but I’m gonna be getting to know others’ and ‘I’m gonna be talking to xyz’, so when someone did look elsewhere it was more of a big deal, whereas now I feel people are just in the couples for the sake of format but it doesn’t actually mean anything.

To be fair isn’t that like dating in general these days though - everyone’s always wondering “I’m happy but could I be happier” or “who else is out there””

They know plenty more bombshells are coming in - if they liked the person they would be committed but don’t think anyone’s head over heels for anyone well maybe Mitch is with Molly!
