Oh Fgs can’t believe this is still being discussed to do this degree - change the record! It wasn’t a secret language they said the odd word to each others - it’s normal. Get over it! Keisha and Mutya I believe spoke back slang - again pretty normal.

Neither of these parties were ‘fluent’ enough to be be able to hold property full blown conversations that could exclude people. This is just disliked because too many don’t think certain people they think are beneath them deserve a voice

Why is this “still “ being discussed?! Unless I missed something, it was brought up for the first time today. So I understand why it is “still “ being discussed today when it was first brought up today.

Most people on here haven't said they dislike or disagree though with it they're just discussing Kadys reaction and someone brought up Sugababes being in a similar situation which again no one is saying they can't do , sometimes I don't have an interest in certain discussions so I just ignore and join in something else , people can talk about what they like

Oh sorry, didn't realise discussions and opinions were not allowed. Or are they only not allowed when it's Whitney and/or Catherine?

For the record, I agree, its rude

The topic has ridiculously raged on and on and it’s really just a reason to berate two non white cast/sugababe members. Saying the odd word in a language aint rude, come the f on. You never saw or heard them do it so you don’t know how frequent or intense it was & therefore can’t qualify how rude if it was at all it may have been. Find some other victims, trying as that may be!

No it's not. Stop trying to make it something it's not. Being a POC doesn't exempt you from being discussed on this thread, all islanders are discussed here.

Your reaching so much that I can only assume you are a troll?

agree i still think people assume they were having full blown convos when actually they were talking in pidgin - so just a few words every sentence would have to be explained. Cat also said the cast was OK with this and learned a few phrases from them. And that with a lot of people being from London already I bet they knew some of these phrases.

for me if it was a situation of them properly speaking it constantly in front of non speakers -then in see why people might not like it, but it wasn’t -how on earth do you exclude people if you can’t even have a full conversation in it? and if you’re literally teaching others it? that’s including people💀 don’t know how that being spun to be negative

If I want to give Kady the benefit of the doubt I would say she was new and didn’t understand the villa dynamics but she has a history of theatrics so idk -i also don’t know how they could be talking about kady if they can’t even speak the language properly but i guess it’s cause she wants to be “iN tHe lOOp”

This is just Kady being Kady thinking the world revolves around her. If it was just a few phrases and they were teaching the other islanders some words I don’t see what the big deal is.
especially if it was pidgin -i don’t think people know what that is, it’s not specific to nigeria and not even anyone’s native language…

it’s like a simplified language made for people who don’t speak the same language to communicate -often mixing more than one so (yoruba + english) and reduced grammar and vocabulary -bit hard to talk about someone else in that case
---
Depends on how they were using the phrases tbh. If they were common phrases that they knew and other islanders joined in over time then fair enough but if they're using phrases as code words for other islanders who they're being bitchy about then that's not on really.
yeah i’d agree in that case, if they kept doing it with each other especially in front of others

When was anything said about their colour?! The Welsh do this all the time, as do, I imagine, other nationalities. People can call others rude without it being about the colour of their skin fgs!
