Not thrilled with Rose and Gios chosen dances. I hated everything about that quickstep and I don't think the cc will live up to a repeat. There were so many better choices! Not that it will affect the outcome at all.
Also not keen on the sound of the showdance. Is nobody going to do a proper ballroom, old Hollywood style tribute!?
With that and the AJ situation, and knowing who's going to win, I fear the final is going to be a bit of a damp squib.

I think the CC and the showdance have the potential to be a bit samey. I'm surprised that is the direction Gio chose to go, but looking at the clip looks like the romance angle is being played up in the dance.. And him saying the dance will be 'very romantic'.

They can change the theming a little for the final. If I recall correctly Gio and Faye didn't have their Skelton make-up for their CC in the final because there isn't enough time for really elaborate make up.

I’m guessing (hoping) there won’t be enough time for the hair team to get Rose out of a wig and style her hair between the QS and the showdance so we won’t see the cheap Anna wig on Saturday 🤞

I would have preferred Rose’s VW to the QS but I’m just glad the judges didn’t give her a latin dance like people had been predicting.
 
I was struggling to remember anything about Rose and Gio's quickstep and then realised it was the Frozen one. Definitely my least favourite of theirs 😩. Would have loved to have seen one of her earlier dances like the jive or salsa to see how much she's improved. Damn you judges and your poor judgement!

Yes to Officer Gorka, Dalmatian Gorka, Emerging from the Sea Gorka, all of the above as a bit of filler in the final please. But all we'll probably get is him doing a bit of that iffy jive with a confused looking Katie

I get the sense that AJ and John are maybe more up and down emotioanlly, so while Giovanni has to work hard to adapt his teaching to Rose, he's maybe playing less of Strictly therapist role this series. This is just the vibe I get

I agree. I think him having to change the way he teaches has been a welcome challenge and he admires her, but as others have said, he's not just waiting for a homely girl to take home to Mamma he's shagging his way through as many z listers as he can! She can do better.

To he honest, I didnt think it would have the same impact, but they were talking about it on Jetemy Vine this afternoon and he just played the song and described what happened and even without the visuals it sent a tingle up my spine. Apparently enquiries about learning sign language have gone up 2000% since she's been on Strictly!

I don't really like the sound of Rose's dances. I also think she is teetering on samey ground - would prefer to seen her tango with the CC so she can use that fierce characterisation of the ice queen rather than three niceynice parts. Also, a lyrical romantic showdance sounds a bit... yawn. Won't stand out from the CC.

AJ's (on the rare chance she does them) are two frantic ones and a mixed bag that I can't really see working too well from how it's been described, given the music they've put it to.

JJ seem to have the most variety in their dances - dynamic, sensual and then fun.

i don’t think the cc will live up to a repeat either; i’m not sure if i would have chosen it if i was them, the magic of it was in the “surprise” (for want of a better word). i don’t know if they can do that twice.
 
It's weird usually the couples dances contrast quite a bit, but Roses dances are lower tempo and emotive whilst AJs all seem high energy. It's almost like the producers decided the theme for the finale was Rose is the heart, AJ is the party. John seems to have a fairly typical set up Slow Rumba, Dramatic paso and high tempo Showedance.

I find it hard to believe Rose really chose a shamaltzy song like The Rose from the 80s as her show dance. :unsure:

I agree, it was such a special moment that went viral for all the right reasons. It's incredible and deeply impacting, but I just don't want to see it again so soon when we're still talking about it. I can see it having a real magic live on the tour, however.

I’m surprised they have a contemporary couples choice and show dance - I would have picked the tango because the judges don’t always go for the ‘best’ dances.

Still there appear to be enough fans to go around so they could all do Agadoo and they’d still get the votes ❤️
