I guess if they are together it should become evident soon, unless we go into lockdown :cry: I think last year the lockdown immediately after SCD heightened Ranvir/Gio shipping, as he wasn't able to go out and about with instababes for months.

Could they not postpone the final by a week? Or am I being ridiculously naive in thinking that is possible? (Because, you know, there might a Mrs Browns Boys marathon the BBC needs to broadcast next week…!)

Next week is Christmas Day! there is a massive production team working to contract. I'm pretty sure Gio at least has a plane booked to Sicily immediately after the final.. Sadly this is it..

It's going to take AJ weeks to heal. Hopefully she will be healed in time for the tour (If it goes ahead) but even that might be beyond her at that stage of recovery.

If she can’t do the tour then I pray it’s cancelled because of covid as I’m not travelling into London if she isn’t there.

Next Saturday is Christmas Day, the following Saturday is New Years Day

Even if you postpone until the new year most people involved in the production of the show will have other commitments that they’ve signed up to

I’m not totally giving up on possible more than friends thing, as AJ doesn’t friendzone on her post. I think there may have been some ‘friends with benefits’ action at some point anyway.

They’re both still under contract so even if the relationship clause stuff is a myth there will still be some professionalism clause. I wouldn’t give up all hope just yet. Even joe and Dianne were publicly “friend zoning” and “friend for lifeing” each other less than 24 hours before the announced their relationship. (And they were super obvious especially when you watch clips and videos back)
 
It’s been another strange series, amazing it actually made it to the final in some ways with Omicron rampaging. I know who my favourite is but whoever wins there has been a lot of positivity put on the tv for a few months - men dancing together on BBC1 all romantic like before the watershed! Disability representation! Signing everywhere! More diversity on the dancefloor! And a lot of decent dancing. Won’t comment on the costumes being woeful this year - oops I did.

I presume people are voting for John because they like his dancing and him more than Rose. That is allowed!

I won't be voting for anyone because I don't really care about the winner if AJ can't compete but it's been very obvious that Rose is winning for weeks so I don't really think it's that big of a deal if people don't want it to be a landslide.
 
I usually choose to lurk on this thread, you have all kept me thoroughly entertained this year especially the McFurlough posts!
Gutted for AJ and Kai, they have been fantastic entertainment since the very first episode. Rose stole my heart (and votes) mid way through this series and I'm hoping she can do it tomorrow night but the final will certainly be worse off for not having AJ in it.
Back to lurking and enjoying all of your hilarious comments I go. :D

I will be giving JJ my 3 online votes because they were my next favourites. But AJ is the only one I would have picked up the phone for and spent my own money on.

The first date is the 20th of January which is 4 and a half weeks away but they start usually rehearsing in the 2nd week of January so it's cutting it fine.

She could get away with missing rehearsals, they are mostly for the Pro's anyway. I suspect they might even let her skip the first week if they were really pushed. One of the last London shows is on her birthday in February at the very least it would be wonderful to see her dance during that show.
