I’m gutted for AJ to make it this far and have to withdraw, sadly it was inevitable when she could barely walk. I’ve loved her as a contestant this season, definitely the surprise for me ability wise. Some great dances to look back on and I bet she’ll be one of the celebs who do well career wise out of it. And a fabulous first Strictly outing for Kai as well.

He is in pretty much all the Pro dances last year, he leads the Remembrance Sunday dance too. I especially liked him in the Pricilla dance having the time of his life.

Really gutted for her! I've loved so many of her dances this series. This series has been a mix... really talented and likeable contestants vs bad luck and iffy production.

Seriously made me smile when I'm feeling so down for them. The expanded statement from Strictly he actually words it 'I will be there for her through her recovery in whatever way I can' If I was AJ I would be making some suggestions about how good Oxytocin is for pain relief....

Keeping it to polite, professional friendly messages could be downplaying things but equally, they could have been encouraging a showmance to keep the interest going

Nope, I don't think they're anything more than very good friends. I don't even see them as particularly compatible - I get a vibe that she annoys him a bit. I love her but she is a lot!
