Yeah, I always feel once you're gone, you're gone. Move on. I don't like the idea of old pros coming back either. I mean, I like Aljaz well enough but he already felt quite stale by the time he'd left.

I agree, I initially loved Alijaz but found he became a monumental irritant with all the gurning and attention seeking. There are so many dancers that would have loved a shot at SCD so I'm not delighted at his return.

I agree, Kevin hasn’t been out of work a day since he left, from fronting Burn the floor to pretty much every musical theatre show going.

I would almost rather have Kevin back than Aljaz (*ducks*). I just find his Disney Adult marriage sickeningly twee and now we'll have it every week on ITT.

Indeed. I’m no fan of Kevin, but as far as post-Strictly careers go, he’s done very well and is more successful than most former pros.

When I see things like this I think social media was a mistake. His gf seems perfectly pleasant but to worship her because she's pretty? I haven't seen much evidence of her modelling career yet. At least they didn't call her 'mother' I guess.
Part of me would adore it if Nikita got another male ringer this year - maybe someone even better than Layton - just to see the Lakita meltdown.

Aljaz is a surprise but maybe the BBC wanted a familiar face after all the drama to help settle the Beryls. Plus they need someone who will do suffer duty with a smile they have a lot of great newer pros that will dominate the limelight over the coming years.

I think all of these tours are ridiculous and are highly unlikely to sell well. Pros like Johannes, Oti, Gio, Janette & Aljaz who are more established have always done well but i’m really not sure how a Carlos and Amy tour would sell? Two lovely people and brilliant dancers but not sure an entire tour is necessary. I think Layton and Nikita had the right idea, a couple of shows rather than an entire month long tour.

Carlos and Amy’s tour is quite intensive as well, shows most nights. When it is your own tour with no understudy, that’s a lot of pressure to perform. Leaving aside recovering from cancer treatment, you have to hope her Crohn’s behaves as well. Like you say, a few shows would perhaps have been better.
As for Dianne and Vito’s tour, whoever thought “red hot and ready” was a good title. Just sound’s super tacky. I can see why it may not be selling well at the moment.

Vito's not established enough yet to sell a tour. I also think people enjoy Dianne in the context of her being Joe's girlfriend rather than watching her dance with a considerably hotter fella in a show with a title that sounds better suited to PornHub.
