I'm conflicted - I like Chris as a signing but I'd rather Katya left the show than got her 5th comedy contestant. :(

Lauren is surely getting a contender this year. Though I wonder if they're lining her up as the new Katya/Nadiya getting mostly middle aged men who can't dance.
I want Katya to get a ringer. I know she won with Joe but I think he was more of a middler who was given a fantastic teacher and choreographer. Looking at how creative Nikita got last year with Layton and how it gave him the chance to really show how amazing he is imagine what Katya could do with a ringer?

It’s pretty clear that FR disappeared up his own arse at some point around the time he won with Saint Rose.
I think he was already inhabiting there before Rose but after this became his permanent home.

It’s a real shame how it went for Nigel last year. First good partner in 6 years but is the judges’ least favourite and it ends in injury.

Katya went to see Layton in Cabaret last night. She is a pro who doesn’t just form friendships with her partners. I think she probably makes friends wherever she goes.

Here's the clip of Chris on The One Show. He was also on HIGNFY last week and when they were talking about the possibility of Michael Gove doing Strictly, he was just like :D not saying anything. He'll be a good contestant even if he's not a good dancer, kind of like Chris Ramsay before he and Rosie disappeared up their own arses

I would totally be there for that. Let's see if the pairing elves can be trusted to not give her to Neille de Jaunse instead, because somebody thinks "Team Ginger" would be a good idea...
Just seen this on DS referring to Nicola Roberts and if this happened my Girls Aloud heart might have me boycotting Strictly 🤣

Pretty sure this has come from here too. Taking down FR one story at a time!

The journos are so lazy! Pasquale was on Belgium DWTS years ago, won, then moved to Ireland, won twice in row then to Italy, won twice in row. … just in case they are reading!

as predicted

We should channel our inner Colleen Rooneys, make up loads of tit, and see what makes it into the gutter press. 🤔

Two stories in the S*n: firstly that Toyah has signed up (taking the Su Pollard role? say it ain't so!)

and that FR has blocked release of rehearsal tapes. But surely he can't stop BBC bosses looking at them?

Also: this is a new detail: "At one stage, it is alleged, a mobile phone was thrown."

It's the BBC property if they have recorded it. He might be refusing to share his own footage the Pro's often record for teaching purposes but I very much doubt his own footage would show him in a bad light.

This whole thing is getting ridiculous now. I assume he's trying to stop the BBC from releasing those tapes to the public rather than just looking at them themselves? I doubt he'd even be able to do that though, would he? Like, the BBC aren't breaking any rules, he knows rehearsals are filmed and it's their property to do what they want with surely?

It seems like the BBC footage but he can veto it being released as he features in it? I'm guessing Amanda wants it out there so people can see what happened.
