Honestly, I think the Richie case is why they need to be careful with same-sex pairings and not just doing it for the sake of it. Yes, on paper, Richie might have felt more comfortable with a male pro, but in addition to the other male pros like Kai & Graz (my two picks for him), I can guarantee that he'd have had a better time with one of the female pros than he did with Gio. There's no reason to put two totally incompatible guys together just to look inclusive.
 
Last year they got most of the matches spot on. Layton and Nikita (whoever paired them deserves a wage increase) Ellie and Vito, Annabelle and Johannes, Krishnan and Lauren and Angela S and Carlos all seem to have resulted in ongoing genuine friendships. Amanda and Gio was always going to be a disaster. With Richie I think Gio pushed for a same sex partner as he’d seen how successful John and Johannes were and decided he wanted to be the first same sex winner.

I believe all allegations against Gio as I always thought he was a wanker 😂
 
Ok but is this a mistake?? We were all sure the third woman was Ranvir. I’d be shocked at Michelle, who was pictured at his show not long ago

Danielle does seem to be doing the reality TV circuit now. She is also heavily rumoured to be doing celeb masterchef this year, so would be surprised if the BBC used her on Strictly this coming series. I can see Shona possibly but SCD always seem to like using someone who is from the current Eastenders cast as well.
 
Why did I think when people were talking about Pasquale they meant Joe Pasquale😂😂

My guesses for this years contestants are

Colleen Nolan (so she can dance to I’m in the mood for dancing and be out week 2)

Faye Ripley from Cold Feet

One of the Saturdays? (Una/Frankie or Rochelle!) not sure actually if Frankie’s already done it

Frankie done it a few years ago. I can’t see Colleen Nolan being asked because she did DOI. I know Angela Rippon was on last year but SCD seem to not book people that have done DOI. She never qualified past the first round so people forget she was even on there, so that’s probably why they used her. I for one hope they keep their ban on ex DOI contestants because whilst they do, I know I’m never going to see that irritant Fakey Quickenden on there 🤞🏻😂

I think (or at least sincerely hope) that the Ripponator was an exception to the DOI embargo due to her being a Come Dancing icon. 😬🤞

I don't believe they will ever be desperate enough to have JQ on. Ever.
Adam wasn't too bad, in the end, I thought. 😁 He wasn't as annoying as I expected and he and Luba seemed to get on really well together.

I agree Adam wasn’t as bad as I thought but still not a fan of him or his brothers. Whereas there is no way Fakey could ever make me change my opinion of him and I know he would still be as bad, if not worse, than I was expecting 😂

Oh same.
I thought Adam would be my time for refreshment break and I'm not a fan of the brothers either, but he and Luba were a good partnership and he worked so hard. I took my break when Bobby and Dianne were on instead 🤣

You and me both re Fakey. He won't ever be on it. I'm convinced of that.
