They'll likely go for a 25 year old newcomer over giving Neil another go. I reckon a newbie was in the cards anyway with the rumours about Johannes. They might already have someone lined up.
They'd still need someone on the bench just in case so it makes more sense to bring in a new pro and keep Neil as a back up

Can't think if any other male pro was benched last year

That first pic of the Italian boys. Nikita really does look like a teenager trying to grow a tache to look like his cool older mates. Like when Chandler hung out with Tom Selleck and tried to grow a tache 🥰

This article confirms that Laura & Amanda are two of the partners who have contacted the lawyers, it doesn't mention Ranvir anywhere else in the article so I have to assume she's the 3rd and they just haven't got confirmation from sources on it. All of Gio's ex partners have been contacted for comment by the BBC to help with the investigation. The Sun suspects that Rose, Debbie & Michelle will back him, and Georgia, Faye & Richie are unlikely to.

They've got in contact with someone at the law agency who has said the following - "There have been numerous serious complaints made to the BBC who are now in the process of evidence gathering".

I would die laughing if the mystery third complainant was… Rose.

Ranvir probably wants her name kept out of it.

Meanwhile, Strictly’s other pro dancers are thought to be pleased Gio has left, and believe it is the right decision for all concerned

It’s mad that things unravelled for him like this

This is certainly taking a more serious turn. Good on Amanda for not backing down, even though it was guaranteed that she’d suffer the abuse and threats she did indeed receive, and which is sadly inevitable for any woman who dares to publicly oppose a popular man.

I don’t think Rose will cooperate if she doesn’t has to, she seems to have distanced herself from Strictly.
Michelle has openly said he was tough and the toughest pro there is but that is what she needed/wanted. Not sure that helps him.

I don’t think Rose will be especially forthcoming with a defence either - she certainly seems to have quietly and gradually backed away from it all.

Can anyone with a better memory than me remind me: when it first emerged that Amanda had requested the rehearsal footage someone came onto the Strictly threads with alleged ‘insider info’ - what was the general gist? I’ve completely blanked on it.

I went to see House of Jojo earlier this week, he is mesmerising. It was extremely high energy as you’d expect and when he was speaking he comes across as a truly lovely human. The extra cast were not as slick as the Strictly Pros ( to be expected) but it was good to see a young cast alongside him. I preferred it to the Pro Tour tbh.

I love Johannes.
And I could listen to him speaking, forever. He seems to be a truly beautiful man. I'd love to see that show. Unlikely at this point though, just looking at dates.

Tbh, I am not really bothered about Neil getting a partner and it seems likely he will if Johannes opts for the bench to concentrate on rehearsals for Kinky Boots, even if we get a new male pro. We have to suffer Dianne with a partner every season so why not have an extra loo break this year and let Neil have a go? Even better if they put Neil and Di back to back so we can pop down to the shop and not miss anything.

those of you from the jack monroe/food and drink threads may recall that time mr kcc got me that jack mask (cherie blair's version) for my birthday and I've already told him I know full well he's gonna get me a nikita mask this year

so, ive looked up nikita masks on amazon, and omg, it's actually listed as "big head"! 😭

So if seems Amanda’s legal action was triggered by learning the BBC were welcoming him back with open arms. Basically he was about to sign his contract, she put in her complaint, and he walked.

I can’t be bothered to check back, but if this all kicked off around 3 weeks ago, would that tie in with Gio stepping up the ‘doting, loved-up boyfriend’ routine on social media, in an effort to convince future employers that he is absolutely not problematic? 🤔

However this turns out, all eyes are going to be on how celebs are treated on Strictly (and other similar shows) because up until now there seems to be a weird grey area about what's acceptable.

With Debbie McGee, I guess her perspective might come from training as a professional ballet dancer in the 70s, where I imagine Gio shouting at her would be like water off a ducks back compared to what she might have experienced. Whereas others might have thought 'hang on, this would be classed as workplace bullying in another setting so why is it acceptable here'

Re Ranvir, all this has reminded me of an interview Caroline Quentin gave post-Strictly (which I can't find now of course) where she was a bit mixed about the whole thing. But in it she said something like, she was shocked at how some pros talked to and treated their partner. And I remember being surprised because she seemed to get on ok with everyone. So at the time I went to see which pros she was following on insta - it was all of them, apart from Gio (not to put too much on insta follows, but it did suggest might have been referring to him)
