Bloody love scanlon. Hoping she'd do a bit for it takes two if they ever needed anybody, she's fab!

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 lineup rumours so far as Hannah Waddingham tipped for BBC series - Mirror Online
A few names on here if anyone's interested, I think they've pulled most of them out of their arses though :ROFLMAO:
Some absolute horrors on that list 😬 a few interesting names though. I'd like to see Jill Scott.
Agree that they've likely pulled them out their arses though.

I think Perri from diversity would be interesting but if Layton got abuse imagine what it would be like for Perri, even though it’s a completely different style of dance. Jowita and Perri paired together could do some amazing tricks.

Vito with babies makes me broody and I’m never broody.

I adore Angela S and love the comment from the person who has missed Angela’s point and said how the Vito bit was fine but the Bobby bit wasn’t needed.

I like a ringer, but I wonder if there is a limit to how good/trained someone can be, and he might be too much of a ringer? When dancing isn't the main thing they're known for, their previous experience can be downplayed a bit, but he has been in the public eye as a professional dancer since he was a kid.

He was also second on Dancing on Ice just 3 or 4 years ago. I think he’s a non starter.

That is pretty much the same as Layton. I think it's a case of whether the person wants to do it knowing they won't win, and will probably get abuse on SM. But they could well be a fan favourite like Layton, and boost their career. Depends on the partnership though.

Did anyone see Amanda Abington on the weakest link? She was quite aggressive… there’s a latest story about her on the daily mail and their comments reflect this!
Wonder if being labelled a “weakest link” will give her “psd”😜 Didn’t see it- hope she was thick as tit and out early🤣

i have to say i don’t get the jowita is due a contender argument - she’s only done two series, one where she won 🤣 she’s fine to have another middler imo.
I don’t think Jowita is due a contender but personally I would much rather see her with one compared to the likes of Dianne and Karen. Her choreography is much better than those two and I just love watching her dance, I think another middler for her this year and hopefully someone decent next year if she’s back.

I think the only female pros I would be really disappointed if they left or were benched are Katya, Lauren and Jowita. I think they stand head and shoulders above the others when it comes to choreography and getting the best out of their partners regardless of their abilities.

I would also love to see Lauren with a contender, I hope she stays on the show a long time.
The reason I’d like to see Jowita and Katya get ‘ringers’ is because the show seems to always lump previous female winners, who won in their first couple of years, with non dancers every year, whilst the male winners will often get another couple of contenders. Aljaz had Helen George, Gemma Atkinson. Brendan had Lisa Snowdon and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and those are just two examples I can think of. You could argue Katya had a contender in Nigel but it took them 6 years to give her one!

Had a look at the rumoured list and I imagine most names are nonsense. A genuine question though, and I hope I don't upset anyone...I am absolutely here for inclusion and representation, but how would a wheelchair user (Sophie Morgan) be judged on footwork, for example? Surely the marking and considerations for what is possible to improve upon would be different to non-disabled celebs?

Edited to add: I fully get it's a TV show and not real competition but the marking in the series I watched was WILDY inconsistent, so I wonder how this would impact scoring

I know the Paralympians have meetings with the judges to explain to them things they physically can’t do, so the judges won’t mark them down for it. I don’t see them having a wheelchair user though.

Ahh cool, I didn't know that. Thank you x

I'd love to see them include a wheelchair user but please not her, I can't stand her 😭

I don't think it would work having a wheelchair user on. The pro would be doing most of the dancing and it would be impossible to mark fairly. I know they've had quite a few contestants with varying disabilities but they were all still able to dance the usual type of routines on the show and be marked on footwork.

Sophie Morgan's name was mentioned last year too but the early rumours usually seem mostly made up. They have more credibility the closer we get to the official announcements.

Perri did DOI and did a backflip, there are videos but I can’t get them to load
