Regardless of whether he's on it or not, it takes me back to something my mum said a few weeks ago.

Now, she can ramble total shite on the level of Anton, but weirdly (and often to my utter annoyance) the woman is right about so many things 🙄 She saw the news that Johannes' memoirs were being adapted into a film, and I happened to say I don't think he'll stay on Strictly much longer.

She thought that was disappointing as she really likes him, but then added that she thinks Nikita (who is her fave) will leave. I disagreed and said he'd bee mad to leave now given what a successful series he's had. She said, that's the reason she think he will.

FWIW, I don't think he's ditching Strictly, but if he's signed up for be CBB, it does make me wonder if it's the beginning of something else.

I think it will go one of two ways - either he'll be very charming and strategic (if there is a strategy, I have no idea how Big Brother works) and win.

or he'll just have no bleeping idea what's happening and constantly look bewildered in the background 😂

Also, let's remember he grew up in Italy, and by the looks of Ballando, their reality shows are waaaaay more trashy, so it probably doesn't seem so bad by comparison

Well as his agent is also AJ and Will’s as I said, and he’s pretty good friends with A, and obviously Layton will have probably gone on and on about it when they were on Strictly ( don’t forget A visited the studio to support him and Nikita semi finals week) then I think he’ll be well aware of the format. I’m definitely looking forward to Layton’s week on there, especially what he’ll choose to wear!
 
I think the Nikita will stick around Strictly for a few seasons longer, he wants a glitterball trophy from the show.

Also, I think since the BBC is so hard up, they've been forced to relax the rules on their stars appearing on commercial channels because they can earn so much more doing reality TV etc. so they allow them to do more or risk losing them completely.

I can definitely see why people would think he wants to leave on a high to try something new, but at the same time it’s also such a risk. Outwith Strictly he’s not that well known and although an appearance on CBB would definitely increase his profile i’m not sure it would be enough to launch a whole new career. He doesn’t seem like someone who would give up dancing so young, with AJ I always got the vibes that he wanted more fame particularly when he was partnered with Saffron. Still gives me joy knowing he left thinking he was about to be the next big thing only to flop massively 😂
 
I haven’t watched BB since it left Channel 4 and had no plans to until this.

In other non Nikita related news (which is a shock from me). Bobby is involved in a campaign about loneliness. Nice to see him using his name for something important.

I find it a very odd choice of reality show to do, because the Strictly pros seem to be expected to maintain a certain degree of a wholesome, family friendly image. Like in the Traitors endgame vlog, Neil was reminding everyone they were being filmed so don't swear and Dianne bleeped Layton saying 'witches' in his Traitor reveal.

I think Nikita could be a very interesting player on Big Brother (not that you could pay me to watch) but I suspect he'll just wind up coming off bland if he's always having to run a 'could a Strictly boss give me tit for this' calculation in his head before he says/does anything.

I suppose there is only so many years a dancer can dance and perhaps if he did get a bad knee injury this year or aggravated an old one maybe he's just trying to make the most of the opportunities that are given to him now?? I don't think CBB is trashy I just don't think it's serious and I don't think it needs to be either!

He’s only just turned 26 and his knee seemed fine on tour with the way he was jumping around every night 😂 If he was in his late 30’s then maybe but I feel like he just wants something different to do while he has time off. It’s not necessarily trashy but it’s a risk for celebrities as they may not come across well. He seems lovely on strictly and from what we see online but going on something like big brother is a completely different situation, being locked away like that would drive me insane 😭

Yeah he's young but maybe it made him think on how easy a dance career and all the opportunities that come with it can be ended? I really struggle to see him coming across badly on it if it is true, he's used to being "stuck" with a group of the same people for weeks on end with Strictly and on tour. I think he'd be able to handle it quite well, plus I don't think he's a closeted asshole which helps too 🤣
