I didn’t pay a lot of attention to him when he was partnered with Fleur as I wasn’t a massive fan of hers 🙈 other than thinking yep, he’s fit 😍
I guess with Fleur, they are both confident people and Ellie wasn’t when she first started Strictly so I just wondered if he seemed the larger/louder character so to speak! If you know what I mean.

I mean, Gio has a reputation as as total Lothario/FR so not sure he's a model! and hasn’t hurt him with his tours and - cough - million followers.
Vito is popular (nearly 1 million plays of that video!) so I don't think this has harmed him at all, and he and Ellie seem to be on the same page about everything, whatever happened.

There are a few upset Arisa fans still, but tbf he definitely dated her/was into her, even if they both enjoyed the publicity. A combo of her wanting to settle down and being a bit high-maintenance cray put paid to things, plus him moving here. Some of the Vitisa shippers are still his most fervent Italian fans.
With Ellie, I would say they both should have shut things down more firmly at the end of the show on This Morning; even if they did say 'just friends' they were a bit coy, and same on the post-Xmas appearance.

Anyway, he and Arisa were cute together, and they stayed friends for a while, until I think her still talking publicly about how she loved him ended the friendship. Shame.

I do prefer his dynamic with Fleur, purely because it gave us the gems of Vito calling himself chicken nuggets and Marcel a big juicy steak, etc. However, Fleur is what 10 plus years older than Ellie and do think that makes a difference.
 
Gio may have the reputation of being a Lothario but in terms of his career he has done well - mainly thanks to Rose, but, still he knew how to use it to his advantage. Even before Rose his shows were selling fairly well. He seemed to have caught on fairly quickly the type of brand/personality that he needed to be, for what he wanted to achieve. Even the Amanda stuff doesn’t appear to have harmed him.

I fancied Vito last year ( ie. 2022) but... and I know saying this will get me cast out by some on this thread... he gave me the ick a bit this year (ie. 2023) It's like I could appreciate that he was a good looking guy but I couldn't imagine having sex with him. (Like he'd want me, LMAO).

I have to agree, it was just a bit much sometimes this year. But then again, I don't get why claudia is so obsessed with how vito says tentacles? or his salad analogys? Might just be me but I never find her going on about how non-english speaking pros dont understand certain phrases all that funny

Fleur has many years of stage performance behind her too. I both liked and loathed her couples choice based on the fact it was such a ringer of a dance - literally could’ve been a pop video choreo pulled out of her archives.

He’s built his fan base and does seem to be popular with any that meet him as they only seem to have positive things to say. Unless he has a mod on duty dirty deleting any “Vita smells of a cat splat on a bypass” etc. We can only assume he is nicer to his fans than he allegedly was to Amanda.

I can (and have) imagine having sex with him very easily. But he’d have to keep his bleeping gob shut as he talks shite.

I think that Vito did a lot of talking this year because Ellie is much shyer than Fleur and although she is sharp and funny behind the scenes in their videos and lives, on camera she tended to be a bit media-trained (presumably because she is a wee bit shy and also has been on TV all her life) so would often just say 'it's so exciting, we can't believe it!' etc in the Clauditorium. So Vito created a lot of situations for her to react to, translating for him waffling on about pasta etc, and people really warmed to that.

I absolutely believe she doesn't win with any other pro.

Wonder if Bobby will do a post tomorrow for Valentines.

He was asked on the red carpet last night if he had plans for Valentines. First he said no, then asked when Valentines was (!) then said 'maybe if someone asks me out'. So god knows what the Awareness of the Consciousness of Bobby has planned on this or any other plane!
 
Bobby doesn’t strike me as calculated or manipulative in terms of media attention, most the time he seems to be on another planet and just tends to speak without thinking. Most of the celebs and pros on Strictly, as well as his Eastenders colleagues seem to really like him. He’s harmless.
