To be fair to Dianne, everyone has to answer the awkward question 'what would winning the glitterball here in X city' mean to you? every show. Well... the celebs have to answer it... but considering Bobby can barely string two words together even when he isn't thinking about which girl in the audience he's going to bang after the show, I probably can't really blame her for answering for him. 😂

Still hope Layton and Ellie win the rest of the shows and she has to stand there grinning whilst inwardly seething, of course!

I don't mind Neil all that much, really. The juvenile prankster thing is pretty cringe, but everyone else seems to like him, so he can't be that bad. He seems very supportive towards the others and not bitter about hardly ever getting a partner. There was a sweet moment in the Claudatorium in the Final where he gave Nikita a little stroke on the back after the Showdance, presumably to comfort him over the Cursed Hat.

Not trained ballroom dancers. Robbie did get one shot as pro on DWTS Australia and it went terribly for him, one of the judges totally obliterated his choreo.

Didn't see that season, just looked it up and yikes, poor Robbie. "Do you even know what a Foxtrot is?" Brutal!

Was a bit shocked to see it got Aljaz fired up enough to @ Todd a scathing tweet!

Sweet of him to ride in on a white horse for poor Robbie, but I'm pretty sure he was right that it was woeful, judging by this clip, which is all I can find of Foxtrotgate. He's probably got enough experience to be a DWTS pro now, but not Strictly.

This. I found that bit quite tongue-in-cheek, tbh. It's set up to be deliberately vote grabby. Layton saying he was a massive footy fan or Krishnan revealing he was born in Liverpool could sound a bit desperate, but the former was funny and the latter an interesting little fact. I wouldn't take anything they say seriously in that part because, unless they're quite creative and confident, they're saying the same spiel every single show.

Poor Robbie! He’s so sweet.
So did Graz just not learn ballroom and only compete in Latin? I know Vito competed in Ballroom when he was younger and then only Latin, and I think Gio only did Latin but presumably had trained earlier in ballroom too…

I might be imagining it, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing an interview where Graz said he didn't compete at all until he was an adult. I think most pros compete in both as children and specialise when they're older, so if he didn't have that it would certainly explain him being a lot weaker in Ballroom. And of course also the thing where he didn't have any training between the ages of 12 and 16 because his parents couldn't afford the lessons anymore. It is quite impressive how good he is at the Latin considering how much less training he's had than most, if not all of the others.

I guess the difference is that those comments were made by the celebrities not the pros. Despite what people may think of Bobby he is more than capable of saying a pre-prepared sentence. My issue is that Dianne is the pro and it should be about Bobby not her, he is an afterthought. Dianne really does have main character syndrome and I think she could do with being a bit more humble and focusing on her partner rather than herself.

Yeah, according to this he didn't compete till 2011, so he would have been 15. He only competed for 3 years. (for comparison, Vito was competing from the age of 10, and in many more competitions. Though it looks like Gio only started competing at 15 or 16. Interesting as I imagine it's also incredibly expensive to compete, between costumes, travel, fees etc.

This gives a breakdown of his competition work, which looks pretty damn good to me.

Yes, I just posted that, but if you compare it to others he started later (at 15, Vito was competing at 10) and has fewer comps than others, probably because of the expense. It's all exclusively Latin too (which we knew).

I think from the dancing people on DS, there are 2 dancing bodies - the WDSF and the WDC and the WDSF was always thought the poor relation … there was a lot of rivalry and it got very confusing to the outsider.

I was googling the difference between the WDSF and the WDC last night after wondering where Nadiya was on that list of World 10 Dance champions. The wiki list was WDC champions and Nadiya was a WDSF champion.

About the live tour, Dianne says her bit about her dad after their first dance, and the celebs are asked what it would mean to win the trophy after their second dances. It's obviously part of the script, so I was like, whatever, Dianne on the beg for votes, standard. Here's the clip of that bit:

Well, he did tell a story about a seagull landing on his head when he came out of Gregg's.
