same. he did a decent jive and i remember liking his showdance 🫣 he should never have actually won over danny though and the audience manipulation to make it happen was ridiculous.

the other injustice that year was claudia (a) not making the final and (b) not getting at least one 10 for her at 🥲

Chris also has the disadvantage of Dianne's choreography. I know she doesn't choreograph the salsa but I am hoping they avoid a nasty injury this week, the lifts/ tricks in a salsa could be a risk too far. He already got kicked in the head in their cha cha and he couldn't try dodge it to lessen the impact.

Imagine a dance off with Chris and Dianne and Amy and JB Shirley would implode.

It really infuriated me and Im still annoyed about it.
Loads of people were saying from the start how much like a young Gene Kelly Danny Mac was.
The dark hair, good looks, superb dancing ability etc etc and yet they give the most iconic Gene Kelly number to Tiny Tears and fly over Gene's widow to watch him dance it.


Bloody ridiculous.

I voted MANY times that year. Danny was phenomenal- that Samba! 😍😍 That and the Foxtrot are my fav dances but they are rarely done brilliantly, but that Samba was total 🔥🔥

Ore's show dance was good but he was largely very irritating.

Have never voted like that since.

I've just rewatched it. duck me it's phenomenal!

I hadn’t thought about this until now, but it could be a worry that whoever choreographs their salsa hasn’t had the benefit of working with him before & might not have the same understanding of knowing what he can do & how he learns moves. 😬

and yes Redline i remember thinking Danny John Jules went out too soon but I only saw bits of that series!

I hope someone does a Phantom dance for hallowe'en as it’s my fave musical 😄

I went to the live show that year and all I remember was Danny and SCREAAAAMING
