Morning new to the thread but couldn't find where else to acknowledge Amanda Abington & her exclusive interview number 100! I'm sire she's given exclusive interviews to every possible media outlet she can. & despite the investigation being concluded she seems to keep ramping up the allegations...

Just watched a bit of Amanda's interview on Newsnight. She says one of the complaints that was upheld (though I'm confused about this as I thought the sexual jokes weren't upheld as they said they were jokes) was when she got a dance move right in rehearsals, he would 'outline his erection in his trousers' to indicate his pleasure :sick:

Talking of which, Neil's baby's party planner really needs to be sacked!

I'd say something like that would be instant dismissal but look what they let Barrowman get away with for years.
 
I haven't watched the Amanda interview, but she's entitled to talk about her experience as much as she wants imo. If she kept quiet, the Beryls would be saying that horrible woman is hiding in shame after ruining poor innocent Gio's reputation. She can't win either way. Amanda has a rare opportunity to highlight workplace bullying that most women don't get. She's quite right to grab that opportunity and get her story out there. It will die down eventually and I'm sure she'll get fed up of talking about it, but the investigation was only concluded a few days ago, I think she's allowed some time to comment on it while it's still a big story in the media.

Absolutely. Women are perpetually silenced when it comes to openly discussing men’s poor or unacceptable behaviour.

I remember when the Seann Walsh/Katya kiss photos leaked, his girlfriend made a statement detailing his emotionally abusive behaviour beforehand: gaslighting, calling her a psycho for being suspicious, lying about his whereabouts, etc. The number of comments at the time expressing dismay that she hadn’t opted to maintain a ‘dignified silence’ were incredibly depressing.

Women don’t need to go away and be quiet when it comes to this tit. They need to proclaim it from the rooftops over and over again so that it chips away bit by bit at the rampant societal misogyny that allows inadequate men to repeatedly get away with disgraceful behaviour.

Gio will absolutely not want to expose himself to any questioning on this, though I would pay good money to see Krishnan put him on the spot. He's put his version out there on insta and via attack dogs like Katie Hinde and Sarah Vine.
I made the mistake of looking at comments on the Daily Fail story about Nick Knowles - it was all Beryls saying 'in my day, a wolf whistle is a compliment', and 'why did she wait so long to tell her story?'.

The Minions dance is going to be an absolute nadir isn't it?
 
Honestly when Amanda was talking about him going on a 35-minute rant about her failings, and then being nice, then heavily critical again when she was trying her best, it sounded like someone with some kind of narcissistic personality disorder. I feel like he wanted her to do well not for her but because it would reflect well on him. Richie being a bit crap (though he wasn't really) annoyed him because it gave a poor image of him.

I remember Ranvir talking about how he made her cry and then eventually 'softened' his approach for her. People have focused so much on the allegations of physical abuse and the sexual stuff, but they underplay how much being continually 'told off' affects you (especially when this was something that these women signed up to as a fun challenge, not to become professionals). Anyway, I worry for his current Italian partner who seems lovely and a bit fragile.

This particular one definitely is. She’s the one who detests Layton and refused to watch the final because he was in it. Worrying that she has so many people liking it. There are some people who are talking sense but the consensus seems to be that Amanda is an evil narcissist who is trying to ruin poor innocent Gios life. If I was a fan of his I would be giving him the side eye right now because of that statement after he had been found guilty of a number of the claims.
 
I imagine some of Gio's fans are still sending her vile messages too and feeling justified to do so thinking he's been cleared of everything or people who believe verbal abuse is not that bad and demonstrate that by verbally abusing and threatening her and her family in her DMs. Each of them are responsible for their own actions but Gio has done nothing to call them off, even calling her a mad woman on his tour.
