He graciously thanked the brummie people, icing on the cake etc. I don't recall her thanking him, any tattlers present in the audience please correct me if I'm wrong

Every time I think maybe I’m a bit harsh on Dianne she opens her mouth and I realise I’m maybe not harsh enough!

I can’t recall any of the other professionals talking about their personal life in this series and making themselves the focus over their celebrity. Whilst she is utilising her dads cancer as a way to emotionally manipulate people into voting for her does she stop to think about Annabel who lost her husband to cancer less than a year ago or Bobby who lost his mum to cancer when he was so young he has no memories of her.

On the off chance that Dianne reads here. Seriously woman shut the duck up and see a therapist. You are not the main feature.

There should be a general rule for everyone to keep it relevant,I'm sure they've almost all got things going on in their personal lives but the show and tour aren't the places to bring them up certainly not to the point of forgetting the person stood next to them because their to busy discussing personal family matters.

Keep it about the dances and nothing more that's when things become unfair.

I suspect this as well. Janette & Dianne seem to have been his teachers pets from their BTF days, and coincidentally were the two weakest female pros of their era - their status on Strictly seems protected by him. Really, Janette should have been gone after Aston Merrygold, and Dianne should have been gone after Tyler West. Two big wasted opportunities but Gilko clearly swept in and ensured they stayed (and got HRVY & Bobby in future series), therefore leading to a much more lacklustre female lineup than they could have had. At least Janette was always fun and likeable though, I thought Dianne was but I don't even think she has that any more.

Maybe if we organise a prayer circle? But what would he do after, especially if this will be his last SCD? Anton and Giovanni Go To [pick random country they have a tenuous connection to]? Ballando judge sitting stony-faced for 5 hours? judging wet t-shirt contests in Huddersfield?

Ellie and Vito are on 5 Live breakfast show tomorrow. Presumably promoting the tour...

They keep Dianne because of her popularity and the audience she would bring in from her many platforms.
There's being a pro in general,youtube channel, instagram and tiktok all with high followers and subscribers

Pretty sure I read something about her being the/one of the highest earners within strictly and outside of.

If she ever left it would have to be of her own accord where as others would have to do everything to stay
Chloe and Cameron never got paired, Neil once or twice and Michelle has yet to leave the bench and I don't think she ever will she's already slipped onto the background most probably don't know she's a pro.

If he gets another contender after this mess, then I'm 100% confident he has something on the producers.

That truly is an odd name for a tour if you have no plans of retiring after; I mean he is a young man still in the grand scheme of things.

He's due a duffer as he's never had one; maybe this might be the year but I wouldn't hold my breath.
 
He started SCD in 2015, that tour is in 2025 so the 10 year mark maybe seems fitting in his mind. In all fairness to him and any pros, it probably gets difficult physically once they reach 35 and older, I don't know how Karen does it year after year.

They are all on the same pay 'within' strictly, I believe at one point Anton and Brendan were said to be earing more due to their longevity they don't share exact figures they have always been open about their pay scale.
The Strictly bosses don't care what you earn outside of Strictly, I very much doubt that comes into play when they organising the Pro line up.

I don't see why 'others would have to do everything to stay' no main cast pro has been dropped since Brendan they have all moved on, maybe some a bit nugged but TPTB seem to be keen to keep the Pros long term now a days. I suspect the next female hire will be fairly young due to this they will then have a female pro for the more younger males.

I can see us seeing Diane for a few more years, she doesn't give the impression that she is ready to leave.

He's coming across like one of those washed up old idols who continue to do multiple retirement tours.
Plus he and the strictly theatre company know it will generate talk, at the very least the Beryl's will panic buy the tickets.

That was my first thought when I saw that picture was that this was just a cash grab to make it seem like he's retiring but he'll just spin it as he's revamping the look of his next tour or something to that effect.

Watch it be that his next tour is a joint tour with Lauren or some other dancer, instead of just his own tours. I don’t think he’s that old, maybe all the cigs have caught up with him
