Ooh I’m glad that we have someone who wasn’t on the rumoured list. He is totally a ringer though and would be wasted on Dianne. As much as I think Dianne should be challenged I think Chris deserves better. Looking at the female pros the more creative supportive ones that always spring to mind are Katya, Jowita and Lauren.

Nancy was also in my head, as a potential partner for Chris. Katya would be brilliant, of course, as would the others you mentioned. I think Dianne wouldn't really be up to it.

As has been said, a good challenge for the judges too. I genuinely hope they will all have upped their game anyway, in general.

Some people on DS seem to think Chris might have Lauren. If that's true, are they setting her up to be the female Anton? Krishnan and Chris are both nice guys, but equally both middle aged with real physical/health limitations to work around. I feel like she deserves a shot with someone young who can really move. Katya & Karen have had some duds, but even they got Joe McFadden & Mark Wright relatively early on who were good dancers.

I wouldn’t mind if Lauren got Chris. I’d rather that than she gets a ringer and wins in her second year, and then gets the Katya treatment and has to wait 6 years for another contender.
