I don't know who he thinks he is!
The Brad Pitt of the Ballroom?

Katya - I will be absolutely gutted if Katya goes. She remains one of the most creative choreographers and best teachers who can get the most out of duffers. Probably the best Strictly have ever had. Maybe behind the scenes she is an evil despot who makes everyone’s lives a misery but I seriously doubt it.

I would be heartbroken if she left. My top favourite pro, bar none.

I remember him on Big Brother belittling Kim Woodburn for being "just a cleaning lady". He's a vile misogynist with a superiority complex and no respect for anyone. I don't know who he thinks he is!
Yes I remember that .. he does the belittling on the pretence ‘I’m just joking’ when he totally means it. Picking on Kim Woodburn was not the way to go and that encounter has followed him around like a bad smell. Even now I bet he’s delighted to get his name out there again even in such awful circumstances.

With the Will Bayley jump it always felt weird that he was rehearsing with Nancy when it happened, not that it was her fault. I think there was some element of her saving herself much like Nadiya rehearsing with Layton when Nikita's knee was bad. So why was it ok for her to take precautions but he wasn't listened to?

When is Hayley going to be sacked for abusing our ears for all these years and butchering so many artists' and songwriters' good work?

Is Vito the only pro not have posted that photo either on a story or his grid?

I wonder if the Graz stuff has hit Vito hard. It must be awful to process that someone you care about, could act like towards someone/anyone.
Yeah, if we presume none of them knew about it and Graz gaslit them if a warning was mentioned, and Zara insisted it was all fine to everyone.. I remember Vito's post at the end of pro tour about his new friendship with Graz and how it was based on 'shared values' - I guess family and friends. Maybe they also bonded over a hatred of FR. And someone already mentioned him and Dianne swooning over how many times a day Graz facetimed his wife. (Maybe a control thing, looking at it now?)

At least Vito had a tanned and summery look yesterday!

I just watched Will Bayley's interview on BBC breakfast. I recommend watching it if you can as he was very thoughtful about it all, and still seems quite affected by it. The gist was:

He doesn't blame Janette at all and was very complimentary about her. Said that pro dancers just need more support when working with those with disabilities and it's not fair on the pros that they don't get this support

Also quite diplomatic when asked if him and Janette were still friends. Said it was an intense experience at the time etc, but they haven't really kept in touch or are close

He said he just wanted positive changes to be made, wrote to the BBC at the time about it but felt their response wasn't great. Acknowledged that he doesn't have much clout as 'just a table tennis player' and that he hopes they might take notice now

Also seemed quite sad and baffled that he gets called 'woke' for pointing out that disabled contestants need more support

I’m hoping that Vito is who he portrays himself to be.
As said on here before the one thing with Gio is, what you see is what you get and why none of us where surprised by the allegations.

I’ve just read a post on Juliet’s group about this that has made me think I need to leave it. Of course Laytons biggest enemy on there is also a massive victim blamer. Just in case you read here love you’re a really nasty piece of work. There is so much more I will say but I think this says what I want to far more succinctly.

I absolutely love Katya and her choreography is just so clever and inspired. She is a wizard, she can get so much out of people. I would be gutted if anything came out about her.

Whoever the married male pro was not only should not only have been fired immediately, but should have been sentenced . Absolutely vile.

I really think Strictly needs to be canned for a year to fix everything and put proper safeguards and training in place. They can still pay everyone involved for their work towards a safer and better show.
My first thought was James Jordan, then immediately concerned it was Alijaz

Hi, first time poster on this thread! It's such a shame that the glitzy feel good Strictly bubble has burst. My post is an observation that all long running programmes suffer from the producers need/desire for it to continue to be popular. Big Brother was brilliant when it first started but due to its popularity, the producers introduced more and more extreme/controversial contestants, set them up to get plastered and behave wildly etc, Brookside did the same with its crazy plotlines, even GBBO had the bakers baking some increasingly difficult things before it decided to return to basics. In the olden days of Strictly, there were two dances performed - half the pairings did one, the other half did another and they were an introduction to the steps and rules of ballroom and latin dancing. As the competition progressed, the pairings were able to master more complex steps and lifts as their confidence and experience grew. Now, from the get-go, they've got the celebs being flung up in the air all in the name of what the producers call entertainment. I think they need to get back to the original idea of the programme. People will still watch, it might in fact attract a new audience. Sorry, long post but I hope you get me!
