If this was something that the agent only saw on Strictly wouldn't you put your clients off doing it? I am so glad that I’m not a celeb as it appears in the entertainment world everyone is out for themselves and noone looks out for each other. What has been happening on Strictly is awful but no one appears to look out for the celeb not even their agents.

Melanie Blake used to manage Nadiya Sawahla. She really laid into her, saying the image NS portrays on Loose Women was false, she was the witch etc. caused quite the stir a few years back. MB is a straight talker, she is not my cup of tea, but she drops truth bombs.

I think some of the pros think they are bigger stars than their celeb partners. In the old days they wouldn’t have been, but they are now. And production seems to be in awe of them so just let them get away with stuff. It isn’t a glamorous show at all, is it? The glamour is like the tans, false.

Yes, some pros have been absolute twats and they're hopefully going to be punished accordingly, but the way these scummy reporters are trying to dredge up 'exclusives' on the slightest thing is pathetic. With how close the celeb circuit seems to be, I failt to believe barely any of these celebs signed up not knowing what they were getting into.

There's a difference knowing you are turning up for long days of hard work and turning up to be hit and kicked.

Yeah, but when have the sun let facts get in the way of the story. She pulled out of doing the training with him, plus she also pulled out of the police awards earlier in the week, not sure they mentioned that. It’s obviously awkward and difficult between them, but they will have to sort out being professional.
Looking at the various clues they’ve been split since at least April. He started liking Giulia’s post from then ( they had remained friends after but he stopped in May 22, she unfollowed Nadiya in Jan 22), and he started following instababes as well

Absolutely. But what I mean is that if this was as rife and frequent as The Daily Mail are trying to make out (that every pro was bullying, abusing etc) why would anyone take part, why had all this not come out sooner?

I’ve seen Janette telling off paps for being where they shouldn’t, she’s quite tough for a tiny girl! I didn’t blame her, they were being annoying.

That article. I never realised some of them had been in the show so long. You can see why Gio thought he was cock of the walk, and why he hooked up with Anton, who also knows how to play the long game.

It makes you realise how wise some of the older dancers were. They did their bit and moved on - Camilla D, Erin, Karen (can’t remember her surname, won with Mark R). Others think they are fixtures and fittings and can’t be touched.
 
They’re all big fish in a little pond at Strictly but it’s hard to maintain that profile once leaving. Alijaz is really well like but went nowhere, Brendan and James have both done reality tv. The only other ones you really hear of either still pop up doing ITT or have married their celeb partner so still float around that world.
It must rankle to go from the most popular tv show where you’re in charge and better than your partner, to nothing and your partner (who might have been a rubbish dancer) gets a career boost.

I don’t think most of the older pros did leave on account of ‘wisdom’; most were shuffled off the show against their will (the infamous ‘dance troupe’ demotion being an especially humiliating example), and they’ve had mixed fortunes thereafter, with reality TV and doing the rounds of ‘talking heads’ tabloid media when something like the current situation blows up being common, along with a few bits & bobs adjacent to the show if you didn’t leave on too sour a note.

From the high-point of being a Strictly pro, the drop at the other side is considerable, even for those who were ‘big names’ on the show (e.g. Brendan). Even Oti has had some pretty ropey gigs after SCD, and she was tipped to be going to be ‘huge’. Other than her DOI judging, I don’t think I’ve seen her on anything in ages.
 
I can see that they might be considering big changes after this year, but that Sun article is so vague that I'm going to file it under 'tit-stirring'. Eg. 'they want new blood and may sack older pros but also they might not sack older pros it depends on other stuff' (I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist)

Also, for a show that wants new blood, their most recent shiny new pro was ...Aljaz
 
So from the scum article without naming them they have very clearly used pics of 5 long standing pros.

Nadiya - I think she is a fantastic dancer in pro routines but I find her really bland and unforgettable otherwise. I thought her sharing social media posts from fans kicking off that she has been benched last year was unprofessional too. I don’t think I’d notice if she went.

Gorka - I know he has his fans here but I wouldn’t be bothered to see Gorka go. I feel like he has developed more of an attitude over the years. Although I will always appreciate his look to Dianne when she said felt safer being lifted by Booby than her fellow pros 😂

Karen - I don’t get why she has never been benched. Another who is great in pro dances but I don’t find inspiring with a celeb. I know she was going through stuff last year but her attitude stank. She really let Eddie down and as for her ‘I just turn up on Monday and see what happens with choreography’ 😳 I think she should be benched this year and it’s time to go.

Neil - I don’t think I need to say anything here as my love and devotion for our ginger prince is well documented.

Katya - I will be absolutely gutted if Katya goes. She remains one of the most creative choreographers and best teachers who can get the most out of duffers. Probably the best Strictly have ever had. Maybe behind the scenes she is an evil despot who makes everyone’s lives a misery but I seriously doubt it.

Yeah, I was just about to say that it sounds very much like ‘best guessing’. It’s the kind of article that looks like it’s saying something without really saying anything, and if/when some pros do get canned (which will likely happen sooner or later), they can claim that ‘you read it here first’.

I could have written that article, anyone on here could have: it’s just a rehashing of recent events with a bit of conjecture thrown in 🤷‍♀️
