I know I probably sound petty, and it won't happen at this late stage, but I think I would prefer it if they binned this year's series until any investigations they're still conducting have been concluded.
I actually agree with this although obviously I'd really miss it. There's just such a cloud hanging over it now and it makes you wonder what else is going to come out. Taking a year off to assess their processes/training etc would show that they're taking the welfare of their contestants seriously. But staff contracts are probably signed by this point and I can't see them wanting to or being able to cancel at this stage.

There’s Vito, Nikita, Johannes, Carlos, Kai, Gorka, Neil, Aljaz. I think Aljaz is Graziano’s replacement and they’ll hire some new male pros next year. Likely they only need 7 males so there’s still a male (Neil) on the bench
I still think there has to be another male added this year, 10 female pros with only 8 males seems unlikely.

What’s frustrating for Zara is she may not have even felt like he did anything wrong. There’s every chance they received a complaint from a member of staff, reviewed it and spoke to her and deemed it inappropriate. She could just have easily have said she wasn’t unhappy but if the bosses felt it was inappropriate they would still have acted. A friend of mine, her colleague made an anonymous complaint to HR on her behalf about another colleague, my friend didn’t think there was an issue and was perfectly happy but the internal investigation found them to be at fault and they were sacked. It can happen.

Reading between the lines, I would say they embarked on some sort of review (although they surely couldn’t have watched all footage from every year of training) and likely invited staff and crew to come forward with any concerns. The camera crew, runners backstage etc would be the ones most likely to be privy to intel or witnessing things but also would be the ones that would be most worried about losing their jobs if pitted against the glitzy professionals. It was probably only when they were given a safe and anonymous environment to be encouraged to come forward that they felt they could speak up about that they’ve witnessed.

I’m still trying to get my head around this as I had really believed the good guy narrative.

I’m not a fan of Zara but I would dislike her to get loads of backlash for this. Whatever happened it was clearly viewed as very serious for him to be sacked so suddenly only weeks after it was announced he was back this year. She is not accountable for his actions.

I guess it really does show that people only show us what they want us to see and we have no clue what goes on behind closed doors.
Exactly this. I think Graz was one of the last people any of us would expect this from, it just shows that a person's image is just that - an image - and we don't know who they really are or what they're capable of.

I saw pictures of Tess with Vick Hope the other day and she really didn’t have a good time on Strictly but only hinted at how it was. I wonder if when celebs are eliminated they’re encouraged to keep quiet about stuff that’s gone on to maintain the happy family rhetoric? I wonder if Vick will speak out now.

Kym Marsh always struck me as a straight up kind of person, she’ll no doubt be asked about her experience with Graz. She’s a veteran in the showbiz industry so she may have been more prepared than others (purely speculation)

I know in times like this folk say “never liked him anyway” but he provoked no feelings in me whatsoever! I didn’t like him, I didn’t dislike him he was just…there. I am shocked and this is not the 20 year series anyone would have foreseen

I saw Kym comment on his post from this week about how much she loves him and his wife, they seems to be great friends still

I’m shocked about Graz. His statement doesn’t really make sense though. Has he shagged her and Sam’s found out and said he injured Zara in training? Strictly have looked at the footage and have seen something that’s made them err on the side of caution with all the Gio carry on.
I just can’t see Graz intentionally hurting anyone. I notice him not being able to tell his side before it was leaked, was removed from the new statement. Someone has definitely had a word.

It could also be that Graz had some personal issues going on (external influences), along with long training hours and lost his sh!t with Zara. If Zara was aware of the personal issues, then maybe she just accepted it. This doesn’t excuse Graz behaviour but may be why Zara continued to appear to be on good terms with him.

The reports are that multiple members of staff brought the concern forward, I presume when they started digging deeper into the Pro's.
If it was over an affair or accidental injury then a fair few of the current Pro's would need to be sacked too.
Whatever has gone on appears to have been deliberate and the culprit by his own admission is Graziano.

Agree and it might also be a case of the celebrities really wanting to do well and impress their pro partners, so they push themselves too far and think this harsh training is how it has to be. When really, their pros and the choreographers etc should know the limits and tell them when to stop and set safe boundaries for them.
Remember Rhys and his 12 hour training sessions with only a coffee break! The Pros have a huge responsibility on their shoulders because other than the contractually obliged contenders, most people do Strictly because they’re competitive.

I wonder if they’ve overhauled the whole training regime and there will be a ‘chaperone’ at all times? This isn’t going to go away and they need to do something.

Has anyone asked if Will Mellor’s alright with all this? I worry about him you know

Definitely going to be chaperones and limits on training time and probably expecting less from celebs.

Feels like a watershed moment with Graziano getting sacked that there is gonna be a major duty of care overhaul for this series.
