Gemma and Gorka are watching the football along with Janette/Aljaz and Neil/Chyna. Would love to be a fly on the wall.

I wonder what will happen next? It’s not as if the BBC can just start blithely announcing celebs and assuring us that this year is going to be ‘bigger and better than ever!’, like they do every year.

They will though. Nothing untoward will be addressed and it will be business as usual.." The show must go on".

Nothing will be alluded to, only a massive welcome to Alijaz who took a two year "paternity break"...;) and didn't leave to become a movie star.

I think they will do precisely that.

OK, some celebs might be put off by what's come to light and be reluctant to sign up, or pull out if they have already signed, but many are that desperate for the publicity, they will turn a blind eye to it all. The BBC will keep on with the publicity as usual.
The show gets too many viewers for them to scrap it.
They will deny there is any toxicity backstage and say the 'bad apples' have gone so there's nothing to see here.
Keep calm and carry on.

The thing is the news cycle moves on and I think the vast majority of viewers will take it all at face value, see it that Graz did wrong and has been sacked and that’s that. I’m not sure your average viewer would think too deeply about what this must mean about the culture and behind the scenes. In all fairness to them, if I wasn’t a tattler and therefore on this thread and exposed to so many varied, valid and intelligent views and commentary on it, I may not have thought more about it in the way that I have. The BBC will be counting on people getting blinded by the glitz and excitement and hopefully a big name or two which realistically, they probably will be.

I would say Neil is already practising his winners speech but I think he is too lazy to win even if it’s handed to him on a plate. His daily tour blogs dwindled off within days, he bought a canal boat and was going to blog the renovation - I don’t think it’s ever been mentioned again. I think he is genuinely happy coasting along with minimal effort as long as he gets attention 🤷🏼‍♀️

I googled to check if I could see anything about the barge. Damn it Neil don’t give me a reason to not loathe you 😡

There will be zero change to how they handle this years Strictly outwardly to the public. It’ll be the usual announcements & build up and the show will go on as usual. To be honest, as it should. They’ll have been prepping for this years Strictly as soon as the last one ended. It’s months & months of work & a lot of people’s pay cheques. It’s like saying I can’t do my job because two people out of the 15 I work with acted inappropriately. It just wouldn’t happen. The show must go on. I doubt it’ll even put anyone off doing it either. They’ve kicked two out & im sure this will actually prompt stricter rehearsal rules & more of a safety net in terms of a duty of care. It’s sad it took this much to force them to act but I imagine it’ll be a positive going forwards!

Maybe they're needing to change the format and have more same sex couples or more groups to limit anything happening
I think these incidents will definitely lead to chaperones at all times in the training rooms .

Its not uncommon for reality type TV shows to give every contestant a handler many of the cast of this years Traitors gave so much praise to theirs as they were mainly there to offer emotional one to one support due to the nature of the show I think its the only way forward really for SCD now .

I think what it may do is make the current contestants aware of what's acceptable behaviour from the professionals and if they're unhappy they need to address it.
