Whats the hold Sicily has over the BBC lately? Amanda Holden and Alan Carr just did a series there, which to be fair looks far more entertaining than Anton and Gio's show does!! :LOL:

Whilst it’s very much a race to the bottom, I’d rather spend a week with Gio and Anton than 30 minutes with Amanda Bloody Holden. I have to mute their prog whilst I wait for Death in Paradise 🙃
 
I see a disgruntled ex-Rio shipper crashed the Gio AT on DS to lambast his fake relationship with Jowita! I think LadyLav has already had the comment removed (and presumably the person taken out back and whipped). But looking at FB there is so much polite shade to Jowita. Apparently she is:
ambitious ('eyes on the prize' - Gio is the prize btw)
not ambitious enough - she should be doing something instead of hanging out on his tour
a doormat - puts up with his instababes, public 'coldness', and Rose obsession
boring and vapid (have you *seen* her boyfriend)
not attentive enough to Hamza on tour (despite posting several pics of him)

and of course the biggest sin of all = she's not Rose. In this equation, Gio can never lose, two women are pitted against each other, and he always always comes out on top. The greatest prize of all - a double-breasted gigolo with worse tattoos than Neil Jones. It's 2023.
 
Oh gosh, I am flattered! Am I the LadyLav of FB? (FTR I am not a man, that is Danny Mac in my icon! I am also not a disgruntled Rio shipper - Debvanni and Ranvanni 4eva!)

I also quite like that group. Just picked up the way Jowita was talked about in a thread and didn't appreciate it. Ladies, I love you and am happy to translate any Italian from Gio or Vito you'd like.

Now that we are talking about them talking about us talking about them it feels quite

 
Well someone said I'd plagiarised them by mentioning their comment! Ladies, the stakes could not possibly be lower: we are talking about gossip about a professional dancer's private life.

I see on DS there is discussion of who might replace Janette on ITT if she decides to take maternity leave - though given that the Wed/Thurs shows are filmed together it would be only a day a week filming so she might still do it. Of course AJ would be in the frame ('hell-ooo!!'), but I'd like to see Helen give it a go, if she were free. I do think it showed that Janette is not really a presenter - it's not enough just to be enthusiastic. (slightly off-topic: I normally really like Alison Hammond, but those BAFTAS interviews were pretty cringe - just shows that it's really hard to do!)

Don’t be silly, AJ is far too BOOKED and BUSY for that, she’s a Perfume Shop ambassador don’t you know. Anyway, it would be inherently traumatic for both her and Kai and Nadiya wouldn’t be able to be interviewed by her as she would feel so bad about destroying the greatest love story ever told with her hussy ways.

I feel like Janette is going to suggest her wealthyswingingpartner best friend Sara Davies and we’ll be stuck with someone more irritating than her…
 
Wouldn’t Nadiya be benched as an ‘apology’ and to make sure she wasn’t too uncomfortable and Kai would onky be on with Rylan?

Personally, I hope Janette continues to do ITT (words I thought I would never type) with a carrycot next to her. The passive aggressive (not here but deffo on DS) should a new mum really think about doing a job is making my teeth itch.

That whole DS thread is a mess, even the people not getting it that weeks of paid maternity leave only applies to specific circumstances that they probably don’t meet, but also that Aljaz seems primed and ready to support whilst she goes back to work? It’s not like he’s flat out with work- I’m guessing a bit like Pasha and Rachel, Janette will be their family’s main earner.

Have resisted the urge to comment 'it's 2023 not 1953!' a few times. If it was Aljaz going back to work and not Janette, I imagine they would have no problem with it

Particularly bizarre is the person who seems quite insistent that Janette will no longer be interested in working in London 🥴

Edit: just to add, Janette could decide to stop working and stay at home and that would be absolutely fine too. It's just the assumption that she definitely won't go back to work grinds my gears a bit
