I just looked and it is so sickly sweet: Nadiya is gorgeous but her story with Kai just doesn't have much interest (though lovely to see her dance with Pasha on her stories - I miss him!).
I see Kai says in the post that they first realised they were really into each other the first time they danced together. I wonder if that was the Halloween routine they did together on the show? if so, it makes the whole KJ stuff even more improbable (cue outrage re showdance dress, bare back etc)
Thought the same! But also they pre-recorded all the pro numbers that year in July/August so.....

I'd love to know how well these dance tours have to sell to turn a profit. Producers must crunch the numbers and decide if a tour is viable but I'm genuinely baffled at what would make someone think that that Kai and Nadiaya's tour could be a success. Neither of them have had a big enough impact on the show to have huge individual fanbases and I can't imagine that audiences are desperate to hear their love story because, honestly, neither of them are that interesting and they've barely been together a year.

(Although saying that, I remember that Neil was going to have his own tour back in 2020 and no one could have thought that would genuinely sell well so maybe there's always a producer with money to burn ready to fund another dance show.)

What a lot Covid has to answer to … denying us Gingerland, the Dianne and Joe extravaganza and AJ and Curtis does Ant and Dec.

I guess this is sort of ish related to Strictly news as its a dancing show and Oti is in it:

Couldn't compete against Strictly, no shock there!

I've been to some of the individual tours and the only one that is a full on production is Gorka and Karen's tour,it's the best show by a very long way and I can see that costing a few quid to stage,I can't see how Kai and Nadiya would be able to put on any kind of production, they're incredible dancers obviously but is their story much different to any other couple who with each other a wet day.

Firedance is fantastic - I'm gutted I can't go again this year. But I do wonder how much money it makes as they have musicians to pay as well as the dancers. It looks like it does ok sales (some venues sell well, some mixed), but isn't the guaranteed near sell-out that Gio's and Johannes' tours seem to be. Maybe because it's fewer dates, they manage. Fair play to them for trying something different though

I do wonder how the finances for these tours work - Gio has a million dates (without a full band) so must be raking it in, whereas that BTF reunion tour last year only had about 9 dates and presumably had to pay all those Strictly names and Jason Gilkinson a decent £££

Tbf to Kai and Nadiya, I checked some of their dates and it seems to be selling ok in quite a few places. Without being accused of ageism, I guess that type of show might appeal to a more traditional type of Strictly viewer who enjoys nice ballroom. All the 'fairytale love story' stuff is too cringe for me though. Also, they must have started planning a tour the second they got together as these things surely take a while to organise?

This is giving ‘first holiday with my dad and the man he left my mum for’…

TBH I’m just glad she’s not in a double breasted tit brown blazer.
Honestly a ‘My Two Dads’ vibe wouid be giving.

I shouldn’t laugh but I saw that that pic on FB and the first comments were these.. I wonder if some Strictly viewers think ‘Gino’ is actually inside the TV..
