Debbie and Gio also had a Paso week one, and I believe Simon Rimmer, Brian Connely and the Rev all had it in the first 3 weeks.

Just checked Wikipedia and Alexandra and Gorka, Jonnie and Oti and Dan and Nadiya also had week 2 Pasos.

alexandra and gorka’s paso is one of my absolute favourite dances too (that spin they do when the music kicks in at the start? 👌🏻👌🏻)

i think it’s a really good start for nigel tbh. he will sell it pretty well and we know katya will come up with something good! their rehearsal videos looked nothing like a paso though but i guess they were hiding it 🤣

For those who are strictly takeawayers what time do you get your goods? I never know whether to time my order to arrive 10 mins before, or halfway through. Such important decisions 🤣
Early in the series it's important to get it early, because you need to line the stomach for the alcohol required to get through the slog that is the 2hour plus early shows that have too much filler and not enough dancing in.

As annoying as it is to watch 5 Cha Cha's in the first show which is really long; from a competition point of view it makes sense.

Cha Cha's are one of the 'duller' latin's so I think thats why it's given early to get it out of the way. For the couple's who have it first its good to get it done and dusted; the contestants who will have it in the future have more of a harder task in that sense; I know that it gets given in movie and halloween week a good number of times to give it some oomph.

Yeah, it makes sense to get rid of it before the vote counts. Plus most of them have got fun songs for their cha cha chas and it's entertaining enough to watch.

I just remembered Tilly & Nikita's Halloween cha cha cha - that was her best dance imo and really put him on the map as a good pro.

I think Cha cha is a bit like the waltz in that it lays down foundation work for the other dances. In the days when they just used to do 2 dances per show, the first dances were always waltz and cha cha. Going rogue something like a Charleston or American Smooth in the first weeks dosen’t really help the celeb at all.
