I almost feel like Layton is the underdog when it comes to votes. He’s a ringer and he’s confident, two things the strictly audience hate. I have always said the only reason John and Johannes got the support they did was because John wasn’t a traditionally “camp” gay man. Knowing the great British public and the core strictly audience, Layton will probably go down like a led balloon therefore he gets my vote 😂

And also a proud gay poc - he ticks all the boxes that will have the Strictly gammon jowls wobbling.

You need people who are decent dancers at the start so you don't end up watching a load of people who are rubbish. It's just a bit of balance, Layton was up front about the fact he had been on the Westend to be fair to him.

Even if they have done ballroom & latin before who even cares 🤣 It’s a family entertainment show, not the world championship at the winter gardens ffs. People get way too invested in the competition side of the show imo

Layton needs to be very afraid. My Aged Relatives (age range 88-95) want to adopt him. Run Layton, run.

I find him too loud and over the top normally but warmed to him when he was talking by the tower when he got his partner as he was a little calmer. Am seriously jealous of his cheek bones though, would die to have ones half as good and expect his dancing to be good assuming he can hold the right pose (I have history of being wrong on my predictions on this so who knows)

I met him years ago when I was serving drinks at an event - he was the only orange juice while everyone else was having champagne so I handed it to him directly and he was so lovely. I think he'll be pretty rubbish but I hope he has a nice time.

That's really nice. He seems delighted with life as regards Strictly.
I think Nancy will work him pretty hard - he will probably be an early departure although popularity might keep him in.
I do hope he enjoys it anyway.

There was one a couple of weeks ago where someone had ranted about Strictly being crap and people should read more books instead of watching TV, and Layton put it on his story saying 'reading is important kids'. And I thought eek, if he's replying to that what is he going to be like when people are going in on him 😬 (at least he covered the username though and didn't do the influencer thing of showing the name so that all their fans go and send them hate).
