It’s now time for my annual ‘Why Can’t It Takes Two start the Monday after the Launch Show’ whine.

With so many couples, it gives more change to get to see them and the first dances always feel parachuted in out of nowhere.

With so many couples, it gives more change to get to see them and the first dances always feel parachuted in out of nowhere.

I've never understood why they don't. It'd be a good idea to keep momentum and drum up excitement for the Week One dances.

I think they miss a trick with it … and with not having a proper wind up show as well. That’s the reason why, if I was a celeb <snigger> coming into the semi final knowing there was no chance of win, I’d want to go out then. You get your ‘own’ exit week, you are still part of the show but you don’t have to practice silly hours while doing the final promotion rounds only to stand looking like a bit dropped off at the announcement and get shuffled off stage left before the glitter has finished falling.

I agree, I really don’t understand why they don’t do this. It makes zero sense. They could easily do a special ITT ep straight after the final. X Factor/I’m a celeb etc used to do this.

I’m staying for a work thing at the hotel in Birmingham where all the celebs and pros stay for the start of the tour.

Might get myself a giant Starbucks and put my sunglasses on and cosplay that I’m heading past the paps and the waiting crowd to get on the bus

I hope this means they're sticking to a handful of dances rather than giving every couple a different one!

It could be a quickstep if not a jive, though a week 1 quickstep is a bit daft.

My mum has one just like that. She wears it to Christmas parties.

This is such a weird picture. A real photoshop fail - look how tiny they've shopped Nadiya in. And the composition is so weird - Dianne's arm obscuring Vito's face, Michelle's wee little floating head, a whole load of random not quite ready poses and faces. Is that the best they could do?

It’s an odd picture or is it just me. Some of the proportions look questionable.

Gorka appears to be in lurex Fred Perry. That‘s an untapped range.

I wonder if Nadiya will get axed next year if they are able to bring back Amy.

I did think that her not doing any of the Strictly tours but doing her own with Kai has maybe pissed off some people in production (she has been around for a while but I think you need to be quite high profile to decline tour and stay in their good books). That combined with the fact that she's had no impact outside of Dan Walker probably means they haven't got much use for her any more. At least Kai went on the main tour this year with Helen.
