maybe, but he’s hardly going to be able to show his true capabilities is he? The facebook brendas might like it, but it just annoys me he’s buried the season 2021 Kai who danced like he should dance

Yeah like there is clearly a line. The appropriate place to connect with them, were you so inclined to, is in a work setting. Send something to the work address which is publicly available, go to a meet and greet etc
Do not show up at someone's private residence

That's my take on it too. Maybe people don't know Angela R's history so they're writing her off as a duffer old lady, but to dance with the host of Come Dancing (without which Strictly wouldn't even exist) is a massive honour and it sounds like she's still a great dancer. I kind of want her to win now and shut all the whingers up (especially the salty AJ fans - even better if she wears the showdance dress )

Nadiya is coming across bitter, Luba has been benched for years and deserves this. Nadiya never makes it past the early weeks, bar with Dan who only got so far on popularity rather than skill development. She’s far less impressive as a pro for me and I do think she thinks she’s a bit more famous than she realistically is.

I think a lot of is just tabloid farts - Nadiya has been benched before so it isn't really new for her however there was a tall partner RIGHT THERE who has ended up with somebody almost a foot shorter who couldn't keep up with a tall partner last year. It has to sting a bit.
(before the stan comes for me, I would have said the same if Jowita was given Bobby but it's especially the fact that Dianne struggled openly with Tyler's height last year that makes this pairing so odd and I wouldn't blame Nadiya for finding it so)

it must have come down to personality in the end, and di/bobby just matching well. Nadiya and Luba probably too grown up and serious for him? Di, although mid 30s is so much younger in personality

I wouldn’t really blame Nadiya for feeling fed up - the height excuse has been used often before but that’s 3 years in a row that there has been a young male contender tall enough for her (Bobby this year being an obvious choice) and she got none of them. And now she’s been benched altogether when other lower profile pros are in, and Dianne has the partner she should have had.
It’s not really a her vs Luba thing IMO but after years of benchings and middle aged mediocre partners, she may well be frustrated.

Ah see I didn’t know he was so tall, that makes sense.
I do think Joe being on the podcast and ultimately attached like a fart in a spacesuit to strictly does come as an advantage for Dianne
Jason Gilkison loves her as well. Like he did with Janette, another pro consistently promoted above her abilities.

anyone think it’s odd that Kai got the oldest lady again and Nadia got benched? I wonder if there’s an issue there
They got two of the four bad celebs last year and then as you say, with the oldie/benched this year. Since it’s happened two years in a row, I’d say there is definitely an issue there. They don’t seem to hire pro couples any more so I wonder if the show doesn’t like pros being together. Might be to avoid headaches such as them coming as a package deal or something.

I think Angela has enough clout to put in a firm request for a pro partner and have it honoured. She is the big ticket item this year and I can’t honestly see her going out first or even second. There will be a lot of publicity attached to being her partner. I think people just seeing her age are doing disservice
To be fair to Dianne she is formally trained. I would imagine with her it’s possibly the Australian connection.
