Absolutely. I can understand sending cards to the studio for good luck, but turning up to their home is scary. Didn’t n show some birthday gifts on her story the other week? Presume that was to the studio though?
I think the picture she took was in her house but since she was in the studio she definitely could have taken them home and then taken the picture. Given the fact someone actually showed up at her house though I wouldn't be surprised if the presents were dropped off there.
Fans have always been bonkers. I remember people staking out the Bay City Rollers houses and I think even the Beatles had people camping on the front wall … but these days with social media I think people need to be very careful about what they post about their homes. Some celebs post so much fans can know the layout of their houses better than their own.
Matt from Bros did a post about how his fans used to camp outside his family home all the time. It’s just unacceptable now, especially where a woman is living alone with a child and her mother.
Some of these ‘fans’ genuinely think they are friends or have a personal relationship with the pros, they don’t. They turn up at every opportunity at tours, wait outside hotels, send gifts to Elstree etc it’s creepy. I also think because they seem to be young girls they get a free pass whereas if it was older men for example they’d be calling security.
Thing is, these are the ones who buy the best tickets at their tours , and multiple times, so it’s a tricky one to navigate.
I kind of get camping outside The Beatles homes (still think it's wrong) though, they were huge! These are just dancers from a Saturday night entertainment show (no disrespect to the pros, I think they're great) that aren't even supposed to be the biggest part of the show. When it comes to the tours it's like some of them feel some type of entitlement to meet them before and after the show. I've seen some complain and be upset on twitter that such and such a pro didn't come out after the show. It's a bit weird to me.
I think they have to accept that some fans get super fixated (always have, always will) and treat all fans as if that were the case and keep a distance. Social media gives the fans a false perspective on the relationship, paying to have a meet and greet does not make you a mate, it makes you a customer but the lines are so blurred and When the boundaries aren’t clearly defined its no wonder some of the more invested step over them.
