Right? I can't imagine she was picked for any reason to do the speech she dashed for the microphone as if it was a race nice to mention Amy but then didn't invite her to say a few words or let any of the pros say something either it's their job

She is going to be unbearable in a few weeks time hope the contestants are good at listening because they'll hardly get a word in edge ways
And then there's janette too who no doubt won't stop mentioning her baby and c section every two minutes and rushes back into things too quick.
No reason they couldn't find someone to cover for a while but she wants the attention.

I mean it’s not the pros’ job to speak in public! Fleur and Tyler are presenters so presumably it was agreed they’d speak.
I remember last year people would pop in here every Sat night to call Fleur a smug witch or whatever. Its gonna be a long season if it happens during every ITT…

That video of Gio - just imagining LadyLav in the front row with binoculars trained on his crotch..

I don't know whether to 😂 or 🤢 at that so will just 🫣.

I can imagine Hamza saying to Fleur, no, no … you do it, please and backing away at the rate of knots. I imagine it was all sorted out before hand. These things run to a schedule so it’s really come on up, say thank you, off you … next.

I actually thought what she wore was very ’her’ style wise.

Have you heard most of them try and speak in public? Far better for them to let the professional presenters do the job. It was miraculous enough that Amy was well enough to make it, let alone have to say anything. They were running over schedule and were rushed off as it was.

I like Fleur too, I was just confused at the fact she was the one doing the speech but like others said i’m pretty sure it would have been decided in advance. Just wish we got to hear from the pros a bit more at these things, they are the heart of the show.

It's weird because you can't really have the show without the pros but at the same time they're always kind of expected to be in the background.
 
I mean it could be worse, they could be the Dancing on Ice pros.

To be honest, I don’t think the Strictly mob do too badly out of it. There’s a fine to tread between keeping the pro’s as recognised faces and making sure they don’t over shadow the ones booked to be the actual celebs, and as has been said before the benefits for the pro’s go beyond just the TV show. All the tours, both group and solo, the other TV appearances, the exhibition dances, the ability to charge more for dance lessons. I bet there’s not many would turn down an offer to be part of the show.

Now now, there’s no place for common sense when there’s the whiff of an opportunity to criticise Fleur for an assumed transgression.
