i feel for him too :( it must be awful to not really remember your mum but also to see so much of her through other peoples’ opinions. every part of her illness went through the media, even her finding out the diagnosis was on camera, and i can’t imagine her sons having to work through that.

judging by the interview mentioned he is very skilled (sadly) at turning the conversation away from her and onto his dad. there have been other contestants who have managed to do similar so i hope he’s able to do that and just enjoy the experience for himself.

With all this Jade tit banging around it wouldn't surprise me if he pulled out the show.

i hope he’s assertive enough (or has a team assertive enough) to put his foot down on that :(

there have been other contestants who have avoided an obvious sob story narrative (not that i want to call bobby’s loss a sob story), ben cohen’s deafness for one and alexandra burke (apart from one spontaneous comment which she got torn apart for). but not recently and certainly not since the show has moved into this pull on the heartstrings narrative era. you’re right that the current regime are probably rubbing their hands together in glee.

he and nadiya would be a really good match, and would be a very interesting pairing for her (after a run of getting the slightly awkward older gents).

i honestly think he and amy would have been a nice one too. (edit: height aside as i forgot how tall he is!)

Added to which this is G&G’s second child, and whilst you drown under the tsunami of visitors when you have your first baby, by the time you’re on your second you’ll be lucky to see anyone beyond your own mother and the health visitor! 😁

I'd kinda like if they gave him someone older and more mature so he wouldn't be infantilised like some other younger celebs (Claudia Fragapane being the worst case). Some of the other pros might go that route with a 20 year old. The only pro I would totally rule out on age grounds is Karen.

I want Flavia and Louis take 2 … which had Flavia both getting more and more Camilla and vibrating at a high frequency the closer the final came and looking like she just wanted Louis to do his homework, tidy his room and go out and play.

I find the thought of cool and calm Nadiya getting more and more wild eyed and twitchy something I need to see.
 
I think ultimately Nadiya is going to be partnered with Bobby, I think once she puts her heels on she might be a little too tall for some of the other male celebs compared to other pros. I do think someone like Katya could be a good partner for him though. She's a bit less serious (I don't know if that's the right word) than Nadiya plus I think she might be good at helping him navigate the media bringing up Jade a lot.
