I’ve been, but as a performers guest, so we weren’t there as early. I do know however that they over allocate seating, so if there are some no shows all seats are filled. The seats are very uncomfortable, so make sure your outfit is nice and comfy. The studio is a lot smaller than it looks on TV.

They've changed it this year to guaranteed entry for everyone who gets tickets in the draw.

Guys guys, I've been selected to be in the audience at the launch show. Being filmed 6th Sept. Gotta go to Boreham Wood. Anyway need time be there by 3pm and finishes approximately 10.45 it says. All phones are taken off you etc etc. Anyway has anyone else been from this thread?

Congrats! If you would like to tell us who is with who (under a spoiler of course) that would be very much appreciated (and I would laugh if Dave had to use this thread as a source 😆) I think @LennyBriscoe has been to a live show?

I’ve just read @UnknownTattler message properly so ignore the parts about queuing etc 😂 have a great time!!!

Amazing! I have been, a few years ago now. If the launch show is the same as the usual shows then much more people will have received emails than they have tickets for so I’m wondering if this is the same? Check the email as unless it says, I don’t think you’re guaranteed a ticket.

On a normal Saturday, the folk come out at 9.00am to give out tickets so to speak and the person at the front of the queue had been there since 11pm on the Friday night. The first 20 got that small area opposite the band. We went I think about 4am and we were 27 and 28 in the queue. I think a lot of people had misunderstood because the queue was huge and close to 9 people were turning up in their glam clothes thinking they were going to get in to the studio then. We were in a hotel just down the road from the studio. It’s weird because you go up a residential street and there’s like a scout hut at one side and football pitches/park idea and then there’s this great studio where amazing films and shows have been filmed at the other side!

There’s a big Tesco not far away and at that point it had a Costa in it. Take snacks if it’s a queuing situation.

We had to be back by about 3.45 I think and we were there until 11. It was exhausting 😂. Have a big lunch as all the time we were there all we had was a Capri Sun and a wee pack of biscuits from them, no vending machines you can access and I don’t think you’re allowed to take food in with you. It was a fantastic experience and even though it was a long day, it was worth it.

I really hope you get in! Let us know how you get on ❤

Oh how exciting!!!!!!!!

Well done you. Enjoy every minute but please take notes and report back!!!!

Don't need to tell us who is with who, but do tell us what everyone is like.
I will do. I won't spoil it for you but I'll def have my beady eyes open and soak in every minute.

Ahhhh thanks for that, well 🤞we get in. I'll be travelling from the South Coast so it will involve an overnight stay in a hotel, won't be pleased if I don't get in.

It's the launch show and it's being filmed on a Wednesday. It says 2 days before we'll get a specific timeslot for entry from 3pm onwards. It says it finishes approx 10.45. My plus one is already moaning about missing dinner lol.

This is where we stayed, it’s about 5 minutes away, but I’m sure there are loads of places in the area. There was a restaurant there too so we just had a hearty lunch then headed over

Amazing! You're going to have such a fun time. It is a long day though. Do you need to queue up in the morning to get your tickets? There's an ibis hotel really close to the studios.

And please give us all the spoilers 😅💗.

Vito being cute

No we've got the tickets already.
That's handy to know about the hotel thanks, is there parking anywhere near? Or is it best to train it?

Thanks I've just looked and there is parking and an overspill carpark charged at only £1 for 24hours.
Thanks so much for the tip I'm booking this hotel as we speak.
Getting excited now.
Thanks guys.

The set they use in Elstree is tiny on TV let alone in person, I imagine the seats are all tightly crammed in. They really ought to make it bigger like the American one IMO. I don't know why they don't if it would allow a bigger audience.

Ahhh, I went to the live show in 2019 and this brought back memories! We got there at 7am and we were behind the judges right on the back row.

It's an intense day for sure and not for the faint hearted but proper bucket list stuff 😍

It’s amazing, definitely bucket list stuff!

We were there even longer because it was the night Brian Conley went out and it took about 3 takes to get a suitable clip of his leaving speech. If only that had been Karim’s year, he’d have been on that stage like a rat up a drainpipe 😂

Back in the day you used to have to queue in the morning to exchange your confirmation for ticket/ number. Yes there's parking at the hotel and a community centre car park attached. If you don’t want to hand your phone in you can leave it at the hotel as it can be a while to get them back. Now to get planning your sparkly outfit.

Anton and Giovanni’s Italy show didn’t make the final NTA voting round

Well I doubt that Adventures in Spain will win any BAFTAs if the clip someone posted on DS is any indication. Very low rent!

I actually went on the first live show. So we got no one leaving but alllllll dancers which meant the show took forever!

LadyLav desperately trying to convince herself that it’s a small part of the series as her tapas and cultural tour dream collapses like Benidorm holidaymakers after too many breakfast bevvies 🤣
She is holding out for Anton and Gio experiencing the poignant beauty of the Alhambra while sipping sherry, while the reality might be Full English followed by a quick macarena at the beach bar.
