If you take a glance at the depths of social media it seems there are rather too many people who think the whole thing is a fix and Layton’s mere existence has totally robbed them of any enjoyment and means that nobody will ever watch it again. Personally I’d love him to win as I’ve loved watching his performances and it’ll make the haters heads’ explode but am expecting it to be Ellie which is just fine for me.

It’s really worrying how all the grown adults who are frothing at the mouth and spouting vitriol repeatedly at someone on a light entertainment programme don’t have the ability to self reflect and realise that actually the issue might be with them.
