Am I the only one who doesn't want it to change? I love how long it is tbh, it's what I need on these autumn weekends. The only thing I'd change is scrapping the Sunday results and just make it all one show on Saturday.

They don't need to change the format or how long it lasts, but some of the on-screen talent and production team definitely need replaced and a lighter vibe brought back.

It's too many people and too long at the beginning ,2 hours on a Saturday night is for a blockbuster film, not Anton and reality show/influencers.
Also i loathe the Sunday results show that I religiously continue to watch 🤣 it's so boring except for the interest in the opening pro dance

This series feels like it's gone on for forever. I think some changes need to be made as it's starting to feel very formulaic, even down to the judges comments.
I think it struggled to get going and at times felt like it was hanging on by a piece of wet string and a lot of hope. Jody having a poorly stump and being carefully ushered out the door before they could be accused of breaking another Olympian, Adam getting the soft Ugo rhumba exit of ‘yes, we know you’re ill, please don’t retire hurt because we‘re already a man down’.

I think they need to look at how they handle early withdrawals … personally I thought they should have cancelled the dance off when Amanda left. It‘s so early and leaves no wiggle room. I think they also need to look at what they expect the celebs to do … most of these people aren’t athletes and even the athletes struggle with different ways of using the body. There is no need to have someone who hasn’t had 2 feet off the floor at the same time in 10 years suddenly being hoisted up and whipped round by the ankles on week 2, or asking a bloke who struggles to carry a bag of shopping from the car to dangle a pro lady from his neck.

I agree i don't mind it being on for months either the only thing I would change is that to me it's our show as in the viewers so the judges scores should decide the bottom two, then we should be shown those bottom two dancing off and then open the vote lines for us the viewer to choose who we want to be saved .

I want Nikita and Layton to win but I think Ellie and Vito will. Even though they're boring.
I want Layton and Nikita to win too, because they’re the best and most entertaining and also because the hate against Layton online (not here) goes WAY beyond „oh he’s a pro and shouldn’t be in the show“. I want homophobes and racists to seethe. But mostly, I want to see those two win.

I love it too. I don’t really care that much about the judges, I often fast forward through them 😂 it’s just a really entertaining & enjoyable show for me. It’s why I love the ringers usually, I love watching them dance. I also enjoy the comedy ones & everyone in between. The only thing I dislike is the ‘journey’, the sob story, ‘it’s changed my life’. It’s just dancing, you don’t need to re-evaluate your entire life from it 🙈 Sure, lovely to make a new friend/friends & great if it’s a boost to your career & confidence. But sometimes they act like their lives will never be the same again!

The results show is going nowhere, though. They get a Sunday tea time prime time show with it for no extra outlay at all that is the second most watched BBC one show of the week and regularly top one or 2 and never out of the top 10 for all channels. It does what they want it to.

I’m sorry but I couldn’t resist

I think she got lucky as Amanda got all the flak. And she’d done a big SM clean-up. Plus obv sympathy for her tragic loss. And nice hair.

As soon as I saw Howard Donald on the results show, I wondered if him and Annabel had a nice chat about their shared twitter interests...Howard wasn't so quick at tidying his likes up before they got noticed though

I'm late to the party but omg Dianne's face waiting for the decision, looks like a bulldog licking piss off a stinging nettle!
I'm not particularly pro- or anti- Dianne but it sort of feels like she's damned if she does/damned if she doesn't. As she's obviously been reading a lot of social media comments lately (which I wish she hadn't for her own mental health), then it's very likely she's come across critical comments. Maybe that's why she tried to be more stoic and less emotional in the SF dance-off?
I was actually quite touched by Bobby shedding tears during Annabel/Johannes's exit speeches - it seemed like a genuine reaction to genuine emotion. 🥹

I wonder how that was kept quiet?

A slap in the face to anyone who has lost a loved one to it.
Oh for goodness sake I lost loved ones to covid and during covid and I don't feel a slap in the face to people choosing not to have ONE new vaccine.
I feel a slap in the face when I couldn't see people i loved, i couldn't go to funerals, couldnt touch loved ones. I feel a slap in the face when the government had freedom to party, when they manipulated a whole country into fear and rules and were forcing people to have an experimental vaccine (which I had BTW) but people who didnt want it were punished, in 21st century england!
The same right wing government that made those rules, that posters here were happy to follow but then use the nasty right wing rhetoric as an argument.

A joke
