When HRVY wuz robbed I waited for the result, having watched every minute live, only to hear it on THE bleeping radio on the way back from bloody Milton Keynes. I haven't recovered.

The total irony of it all and people said that Nigel was high on pain last week.

No wonder they were gunning for Nigel to go last week, even if he hadn't had the accident.

Then they would not have been able to apply the double standards this week.:mad:
 
Bobby quickstep - I liked it but they could've pushed the choreography a bit more. A cartwheel instead of a silly run at the end would've finished it off nicely. I just can't take to him though, he seems like he's going through the motions every week rather than losing himself in the performance.

Side note: what's the deal with Michelle? She looks so awkward in the Clauditorium, doesn't seem to have a laugh like the other pros do with each other. She seems a bit reserved for Strictly.

Layton rumba - there's no doubt it was good but I found it quite boring. Maybe it needed a better song.

Annabell salsa - terrible for the semi final and over marked. Deserved no more than a 7/10. She really can't cope with the faster dances. I hope she doesn't make the final as she's so boring to watch. Anton's malfunctioning was just embarrassing. Barely got a laugh from the audience. He needs to stop with the silly noises and start using his decades of experience to deliver a proper critique.

Ellie cha cha - she made a difficult dance look easy. She's such a natural talent. 9/10 for me and 10/10 for Vito's curly hair 🥵

Bobby paso - can't work out if I liked it or not. It was a strange song for a paso.

Layton Charleston - I thought he was slightly ahead of the music at times. Karim and Rhys Stephenson had the same issue. But the judges didn't see it so idk. He's not my favourite but I want him in the final as we're guaranteed to get entertaining dances from him unlike Bobby and Annabell who would potentially make the final a bit boring.

Annabell vienesse waltz - much better than her salsa. The song was butchered which ruined it a bit.

Ellie couples choice - there shouldn't be any CCs in the semi final. It has potential to be a massive advantage or disadvantage and neither is fair this late in the comp. She did well with the choreography she was given but I'm not a fan of that style of dance (whatever it is.) She's still my winner though, she's been the most consistently good performer.

I'll be shocked if it isn't a Bobby & Annabell DO but I can't call who'll go.

I think Bill’s win was heavily influenced by covid & lockdowns. People were stuck in the house miserable and wanted a feel good winner, it’s the same reason Giovanna Fletcher won I’m a celeb even though she was the most boring contestant that series.

It honestly felt almost like a copy and paste of Mollies showdance from last year in terms of tone and style.

I was wondering if maybe Vito over trained her hence she seemed a bit exhausted by her CC. The Pro's sometimes loose sight that their celebs are usually not used to that level intense training, with Ellie being so up for working hard and just getting on with whatever Vito and TPTB throw at her I wonder if they just took too much from her this week? :unsure:
