I wish we would have a ringer or semiringer who would say honestly "I've got a lot of advantages over beginners: I don't need to work on my posture or my musical timing; I know how to control my body; I can learn choreography quickly so I don't have to waste time repeatedly drilling the routine to drive it into my muscle memory; and all that means I can do a more technically challenging and artistic routine and also take correction up to the last minute. But I've never done ballroom and latin so it will still be a journey."

But the producers would never let them say anything but the latter phrase. I also think it's unfair how Layton has taken all the flak for being a ringer when Nigel was also one, and Ellie also has experience. I won't vote for Layton in the final because I don't believe any ringer should win it. But his routines have been gorgeous and his partnership with Nikita does so much for representation so I will vote to get them through to the final.
 
I’m just catching up as I had to be mummytaxi again. Hitting the wine now and speed watching!
Cute that AJ was there to support Layton. I reckon her friend Laura ( who did a friday panel) will be on Strictly next time.
Threw my votes at Layton because that Charleston was spectacular, and I need him in the final.
I think Ellie will be safe.
Bobby and Annabel for dance off
Noticed a few newbies on the thread tonight being a tad defensive. Just a note that this is tattle, not DS, we tend to be a bit…frank on here.
 
I’m on catch up. That Charleston man. Bloody incredible! Even my husband looked up and said, ‘aw’ when Nikita started crying 🥹 I love them so much. What a beautiful friendship they’ve found ❤️ I’ll be heartbroken for them if they end up in the DO off the back of two amazing dances. But I imagine they might be 💔 Still, that Charleston is kicking out whoever they are against..

I can’t decide who I want in the final least, Bobby or Annabel but on balance, I think I’d rather Bobby went just because Dianne annoys me so much.

That is the backlash when the judges try to manipulate the result.

Am sure I could mark those dances with more impartiality and appropriate score that these 4 have done.

We do need a fresh look on thejdges desk, another series like this and they will totally alienate the audience and make them feel like they do not have a say in the result.

I'm the same if Bobby was with another pro I probably wouldn't mind if he got to the final (as long as Layton also reached the finals) but Dianne has been so annoying and making a twit of herself these last few weeks its put me off them and I want them out.
