Could Nigel Harman be Karen's farewell partner? Slightly older but lots of potential being from theatre.

Noticed as well that Bobby Brazier seems to have fallen through, shame as I was looking forward to them having a younger, sparkier male celeb, a category last year lacked big time (Tyler was lost on me). Especially now that bloody Adam Thomas seems to be their soap actor, exactly the type I'm not interested in. Put him with Dianne please!

Tyler was kinda attractive, but so bland. He didn't have that spark at all really. Bobby does seem quite sparky and fun and seems to have that twinkle about him where he'd be good fun and likeable.
 
Nigel Harman is good looking chap but maybe a bit too bland in personality he would have to be a good dancer to get far.

I wonder if they will give Karen and/or Katya a ringer as they seem to be more on the out.
 
Nigel Harman? Dirty Den's son on Eastenders, married his adopted sister Sharon, was stabbed to death on New Year's Eve (I don't know why I can remember Eastenders storylines from about 20 years ago, that was probably the last time I watched it 😆) He was also a baddie on Downton Abbey. He looks like a villain, but I'm sure he's very nice in real life 😁

Is this the Thomas brother that’s rumoured? I was quite surprised to see him with Queen Hannah of Waddingham, I didn’t think they were that famous (now I have learned they are, in fact, different people).

ETA: this appears to be Ryan Thomas, not Adam Thomas who was rumoured. I hope he had fun at Wimbledon tho 🤣

Yes, that's the brother who used to be in Corrie and who won CBB.

Not the brother who wants to be in Strictly 😁

I hope not. Nothing against Karen but looking at her track record she’s had a decent run, although her last 2 partners haven’t been great. I would much rather someone with potential was given to someone like Katya who hasn’t had anyone half decent since 2017, or even Nadiya/Luba who deserve a shot at a decent partner, or just a partner in general in Luba’s case 🤣

Definitely Luba, she deserves it more than anyone. Karen’s been in the final twice , Nadiya quarter final twice.

Realistically though it’s never going to happen for Luba. There have been multiple years full of tall male celebs and she still didn’t get a partner, makes me think she never will. Based on that the other 2 left are Katya & Nadiya, I think it’s about time one of them (or both) got a real contender. Amy, Dianne, Nancy, Jowita & Karen have all either had contenders or been in the final in recent years.

At this point, I wonder if Luba actually doesn't want a partner? Maybe she's been offered one and is content just being a backing dancer? She strikes me as someone who would struggle with the fake, OTT 'friends for life' shtick everyone does now

I do agree that Katya & Nadiya are most due the good ones (I don't hold out hope that they'll suddenly give Luba someone good) but after suffering Jayde and keeping her composure the whole time, I would like Karen to be rewarded with someone good, particularly if it is her last.

Katya has won strictly with Joe
Nadiya has had 1) a popular and ringer esque Eastenders Actor 2) a very well known boy band member 3) a famous England goalkeeper 4) A very popular housewives favourite bbc presenter 5) an iconic 80s popstar
Luba got a rower who had suffered with a catastrophic brain injury not that long before, and an American football player who was known for fathering a GirlsAloud baby. I think it’s Luba’s turn! ( but yes, Karen should get a decent one too)

I think the fact that there were quite a few tall men last year and Luba didn't get a partner doesn't bode well for her unfortunately. This year will be her 6th year on the show and she's only had two partners, it's a similar thing with Neil except he's been on the show for longer. She's a great dancer so I don't know why she doesn't get a partner.
 
I just don't view either Luba or Neil as main pros when tallying up who is due a contender and who isn't. They've both been benched a lot and aren't new up and coming talent waiting for their promotion like Lauren. They're really glorified troupe members who the show use as a safe pair of hands to fill in here and there. But the fact that they've been there so long and barely featured makes me think the show isn't invested.
