Time will only tell if Lauren gets a partner but it would need to be sooner rather than later, she's the same as Amy who's already been on the show for years now and so it feels like she's already behind in that sense.

It's seems weird the extra hiring of pros last year but Strictly might just be going down the 'troupe' route like DWTS in America; it does make sense to have back up if more than one pro gets injured/ill.

I did think about her age as well, it goes against her a little bit. 32 is most definitely not old but it is cutting it fine to be a new pro on the show (for males and females, same reason why I think Pasquale wasn't hired) and hope for a long tenure. If she doesn't get one this year, I'm not 100% sure what her future is.

I think that's also part of the reason Neil didn't work as a main pro - he got his first celeb at 37 so at that point, was past his dancing prime and we didn't get to see him compete at his best.

Agreed. 32 is young in regular life terms but in Strictly terms when the average age of hiring a new pro is mid to late 20's, hiring someone a bit older than that is a bit odd. As much as she seems like a lovely person and can dance as well as the rest of them, before the new pro announcements were made last year as much as she was on the radar and rumoured to be a new pro I did think her age would work against her and be a reason not to be hired. I do think she was probably pushed by Kevin and Gio to be hired; Kevin kept talking about her on his podcast and saying she needed to be a pro on strictly; he also had her on his tour with his sister and on the BTF tours and of course she was Gio's new leading lady on his tour taking over from Luba and Nancy.

With the 2 longer serving female pro's Karen & Katya not going anywhere then who know's when Michelle and Lauren will get a spot; at least Michelle has a bit more time on her hands to wait.

Neil I think came as a package with Katya; like Chloe Hewitt came with AJ.

The best bit about Gios response to the daily Mail is as it is backgrid that took photos it is more than likely he/his team arranged the photographer etc. Don’t want the press to do articles like that then don’t arrange paps or even put on Insta you are there until perhaps you are back.

No wonder he posted exactly where he was yesterday so. Preparation for the 'pap' shot arranged by his team.
I'm convinced the insta story today is because he'd hate for people to think he's dating anyone who isn't an ex Love Islander/Instababe

Those photos really highlight that aside from his dancing fitness he doesn’t take very good care of himself- particularly if you compare him to Vito or Gorka (I know Gorka has a pretty full on routine but still).

King Vito is looking happy and healthy this tour 😍

She was offered a job. She took the job. I’m no fan of Gio’s but I cannot fathom how you’ve concluded that he didn’t ‘let’ her choose to do something else.

Is it a verifiable fact that Lauren was even offered ‘the main stuff’ (whatever that may be)?
