It has to be people watching to laugh, it was awful.
He has a very high number of views too on their tiktok account. Aw look at Nigel off his face 🥰

He is higher than Ellie and Annabel on YouTube too but 20k behind Layton which makes more sense to me.

I really feel for Layton, he’s an amazing dancer who’s not done ballroom or Latin before yet on all the FB strictly pages they are vile to him. I’d love to see him win but they would all cry “fix” and completely ruin the moment for him. I love reading everyone’s comments/opinions on here but everyone is way more balanced (and some of the comments are comedy gold!) 🤭

Totally cringey! Maybe he was possessed with the spirit of nigel playing dick van dyke

Next week on ITT Janette will scream "nobody puts Diiiiyane in the corner" (after rushing Nigel and Katya through their strictly best moments after ribbing them with lots of rib cage jokes, whilst Katya sobs on the sofa).
Production team are running around finding more fillers: cheer leading practice ✅️ judge playing name that tune ✅️ gymastic ribbon twirling practice ✅️ pro guiness world ongoing damn ☑️sob stories and general public randoms supporting their stars, damn that's for final week ☑️ Show and tell the pro dancers pets 💡

The fb pages are awful about him but when people are called out for saying its a fix admin are saying its ok as people are entitled to different views.
They also seem to have a weird cult like obsession with fannyrat in Juliets group and were protesting yesterday how he should have been allowed to start again with another dancer after Amanda left and how sad he looks all the time. Its weird

That is wild. Now I don't think Layton should win. He's a dancer and to me he hasn't really improved as the weeks have gone on, he's just always been good from the start because of his background and I just don't think that's what Strictly is about (for me it's the Krishnan's and Angelas of the series that make it!) BUT he definitely should be in the final!!! Him and Ellie are the only ones who can dance FFS!!! I understand Annabel making it to the final (again she is exactly what the show is about) but the thoughts of Bobby making it over Layton is bleeping INSANE!!!! The lad can't dance!?? The final show would be absolute shite without Layton.

They (hopefully) don't need any extra filler since even if Nigel had continued someone would have been eliminated and they'd have had the same no next week anyway.

I mean, on top of all the filler there always is anyway.

I wonder if Nigel might be able to make an appearance in the final? Even if he was smacked off his tits!

I was lucky to actually attend tonight's show thanks to my daughter being friends with someone on the production and have only just got back. It was incredible but a few things that stood out:

  1. The dance floor is a lot smaller than it looks on TV! It looks massive on screen but in the flesh it's about the size of 1.5 tennis courts!
  2. I bumped into Tom Hiddleston (yummy) and Debbie McGee (lovely!)
  3. I'd obviously been reading the news about Nigel in advance, but because we had to surrender our phones at the entrance and so a lot of people didn't know about it. When it was announced by Claudia in the warm up there was genuine gasps from the audience.
  4. Layton's dance was AMAZING.
  5. Between the recordings for the results show, the pro dancers were all on the dance floor getting ready and then had a little song and dance with the warm up guy. Carlos sang Adele (not very good but had lots of enthusiasm), Graz sang an Italian song (I can't remember which one as I was drooling from looking at him) but Kai sang Elvis' In the Ghetto and had an amazing voice!
  6. Claudia is as mad as a box of frogs but bloody amazing!
  7. The whole production was just really interesting to see, how each part fits together and the amount of people working to make sure it all flows smoothly

Sounds incredible! Love that Kai has got a good voice. Could do with him singing a couple of the songs each week. 😂

how in any universe could someone have watched last night and put layton LAST?!?!

fully agree with you re bobby. annabel will continue to coast but i think bobby is in trouble really - he’ll never beat layton in a DO (even without seeing their dances). can’t believe annabel is genuinely going to join the list of weakest finalists though, absolutely mad.

Juliet has made a post saying she is going on a blocking spree today because of all the awful posts last night.

They are all so weird it's about the celeb not the dancer! He's sad because he's got a tour to sell and he's out early so less exposure.
I don't get the worship of him he's a good looking guy but there is better looking on the show, he really doesn't have much of a personality beyond being the 'strict' one. His life seems empty to me rather void of all pleasures and interests except money and his tours, a bit too one dimensional for me to understand why he has such a cult following.
I honestly can only chalk it up to his flirting with the likes of Ranvir and Debbie that he fulfils some sort of deluded fantasy that he could be interested in them if only they met. However that means they have to wilfully ignore the women he does find attractive the identic blown up insta babes.

I wasn't watching Strictly back then.

When Louis leaps off the stage - which is my favourite moment in the movie too - wow wow wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's all just gorgeous.

I'm going to put my cynical hat on and say that the sympathy those posts get Layton is part of the reason why she doesn't use post approval.

TBF a LOT more people like Layton and Nikita on DS than Ellie and Vito, who are pretty weirdly disliked there.

I don't think E+ V are together per se and I don't think it will be a relationship (too different, careers, location, age) but a couple of weeks ago on one of her stories Vito gave Ellie a look that was so incredibly fond and kind of loving that it did set my spidey senses tingling slightly (yes, I did save the story as I'm sad, no, journos who lurk here, I won't post it).

Aside from the Botched Lift (tm) can we raise a glass to one of the other moments of last night- Gorka's face when Dianne slagged off her fellow pros in favour of Noodly Arms. First shock, then eyeroll, then ironic clapping while saying 'thank you' with pursed lips. Icon.
