I think the insta stats are always slightly skewed now because they share the post with that celeb's account (and sometimes the pro's too). So whoever has more followers is probably going to get extra views

Just to add I don't actually know how many followers Bobby has 😂. I'm assuming he has more than the others
 
I'm feeling really annoyed now that due to dumb song and theming we didn't get to see a full quickstep from Ellie she's more than capable. That song and the floor layout just wouldn't allow proper long runs. Ellie still did fantastic and danced beautifully and Vito was clever with the choreography passing her around to different dancers helped with not having the proper beat.
 
Ellie won with her Paso. Think it's boring when the winner is obvious so early on, but it seems to be the case every year now.

Also don't agree about the journey aspect. She's been consistently good from the start (I know she's gained confidence, but im talking about dance ability.)

Not saying she doesnt deserve to win, but i think it's sad how the 'ringers' (in recent years) never have a chance of winning. Ashley Roberts, Alexandra Burke, etc. Routing for Layton but at this point Annabel has more chance of winning than him (although obviously it will be Ellie.)

I’m indifferent to the Ellie and Vito dating thing - Ive always said they have great chemistry and look like they’re having an amazing time together but at the same time they just don’t scream couple to me for some reason and look like besties.

Whilst it’s ultimately about dancing and no one has to declare a relationship I do think they’ve had plenty of opportunity in interviews to outrightly say no and deny it and the fact they haven’t and have instead gone down the ‘we’re having fun’ or ‘we just to busy for anything else’ route does make me think there is a chance they could be together / could be something they explore post show or are doing nothing more than playing on a showmance. Dont the majority of strictly romances use the ‘we are just to busy’ line at the beginning!

i still think she is a fantastic dancer though and seems like a lovely person and is probably one of, if not the one, who has gained the most on a personal level since the beginning of the series.

Their chemistry is insane, from the start where they looked like they were about to devour each other to the end where Layton was stood arms aloft staring down at Nikita on his knees it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 They have more chemistry in one moment than all the other couples put together.

Weirdy every time Nikita gets down on one knee I appear to involuntarily growl 😂 and 2 of his hottest moments were his hand lingering on Laytons hip and him adjusting his waistcoat as he walks down the stairs. This boy has done something to my brain 🥵

That part at the start was very rhumbaish so I really really hope that they do a rhumba next week. It would be as hot as hell 🥵🥵🥵
 
The one thing that made me wonder if Ellie and Vito are a thing (and some backstage gossip in the tabloids doesn't convince me) is how little the show have teased them about their chemistry in the Claudatorium and ITT.
My impression has always been that Claudia especially is willing to tease when she knows it's a fake showmance like AJ and Mollie and chanting kiss at them but she draws a line in it when there is the possibility of a real relationship brewing.

This belongs with the "how's Trish" scene in the archive of god-awful acting - I cringed myself inside out last night when he said that, and then his dancing looked like he was just limply wiggling! It was just so underwhelming as he'd been doing a bit better recently! I thought Craig turning down Motsi's joke offer to recreate the lift came across a bit rude, as if he was saying "god no, I'd collapse under you because you're faaaaar too heavy" - I'd have been mortified if someone reacted like that to me on TV!!

During Annabel's dance all I could focus on were how enormous her hands looked, and how every few seconds she'd try a tight smile and then go back to frowning! She also looked like she was clinging onto Johannes for dear life in parts! The little forehead kiss made me teary, but that's because I'm sleep deprived! I'm also blaming sleep deprivation on the floods of tears that fell out of my eyes when Nigel and Katya were being interviewed 🥺

Last night's show felt quite sad and off, so I was really pleased with Layton and Nikita's 40 because it gave it a bit of much-needed joy! I wasn't sure they'd get it because there were syncing issues again near the start but it was still an amazing dance and I'm glad Craig decided to give it a 10 - I did wonder for a second if Anton would give it a 9 just to be contrary though 😂

I'm going to keep watching the final two shows but I'm far less excited now that Nigel has had to bow out early - he wasn't my favourite but he brought something special and exciting to it 💔
