They won’t do this weeks dance next week in the DO as they won’t be in the right costumes.. imagine L&N is say cheesy Charleston outfits doing a Paso 😅

When there’s a dance-off in a two dance week they are able to change costumes if they opt to do their first dance for the dance off, as there’s plenty of time to get changed before the filming for the results show, so in theory there’s no reason why this week’s costumes couldn’t be on hand for them to change into.

The sets/backing dancers are obviously a complicating factor that make it probably infeasible, but the costumes are an easy fix.

Watching the previous dirty dancing performances you have to wonder what the hell were they thinking giving it to Bobby and putting him on after Laytons Paso which was always going to be amazing. Is Dianne totally delusional thinking they could pull that off?

ETA - actually of course she didn’t hence the mining for Layton haters on Facebook, using her dad as a sob story and looking delighted there was no elimination. She knew she was fucked. I hope she is benched next year.
Honestly, the only justification for putting Bobby last today is that there's no vote and they know they won't want to put him last next week.

Any spoilers yet?
;)

Unprecedented 4-way tie for the DO being reported on Twitter - leaked by Tom Hiddleston apparently, but I won't believe it until Dave Thorp posts it.

Bobby vs Annabel vs Ellie vs Layton

Layton drop kicks Bobby in the nuts while he's performing the lift. Bobby out. Dianne falls to her knees in utter devastation.

Nigel storms the floor exclaiming, LOOK AT ME! I'M PETER PAN! while mimicking an aeroplane! Knocks out Annabel stone cold. Johannes falls to his knees in utter relief.

Bobby and Annabel out. Ellie and Layton through to the semi's. Nigel reinstated under the condition he must remain smacked off his tits for the remainder of the run.

I think Nigel was meant to be last as I have no doubt it was going to be amazing. Bobby would have been the tit in a sandwich of excellence bread from Layton and Nigel and would have been a surefire goner.

I'm not saying that Dianne slipped the backing dancers a handsome sum to drop Nigel but...

We'll know for sure if Katya and/or Neil (for plausible deniability) "accidentally" kicks Bobby down a flight of stairs next week 😂

Caught up, so sorry that Nigel and Katya had to leave. 😕 My favourite couple all the way. Both dancing and personality wise.

I loved Layton and Nikita's dance. Just loved it. Felt emotional and I'm not sure why. Cold creature that I am. 😁
I loved the reaction to them getting 40. Not just from them, but from the others. There was a lot of genuine delight there, which was lovely.
Please let's see them in the final.

Enjoyed Ellie and Vito, definitely deserve to be finalists.
Skipped most of Annabel and Johannes even though I love Johannes. Braced myself for Bobby and Dianne. I usually take a break while they are on. I think Bobby is coming across better than he did, a lot better than the way Dianne is coming across at this point. I think he is working hard. This wasn't a dance that suited him at all, imo.

And damn it, once again, I'm heartbroken for Nigel and Katya.

I was lucky to actually attend tonight's show thanks to my daughter being friends with someone on the production and have only just got back. It was incredible but a few things that stood out:

  1. The dance floor is a lot smaller than it looks on TV! It looks massive on screen but in the flesh it's about the size of 1.5 tennis courts!
  2. I bumped into Tom Hiddleston (yummy) and Debbie McGee (lovely!)
  3. I'd obviously been reading the news about Nigel in advance, but because we had to surrender our phones at the entrance and so a lot of people didn't know about it. When it was announced by Claudia in the warm up there was genuine gasps from the audience.
  4. Layton's dance was AMAZING.
  5. Between the recordings for the results show, the pro dancers were all on the dance floor getting ready and then had a little song and dance with the warm up guy. Carlos sang Adele (not very good but had lots of enthusiasm), Graz sang an Italian song (I can't remember which one as I was drooling from looking at him) but Kai sang Elvis' In the Ghetto and had an amazing voice!
  6. Claudia is as mad as a box of frogs but bloody amazing!
  7. The whole production was just really interesting to see, how each part fits together and the amount of people working to make sure it all flows smoothly

Sounds amazing, glad you enjoyed it! What are we getting for tomorrow nights show then, the usual pro dance, dance reveals and a whole load of tit filler? 🤣

From what I could gather (it was filmed out of order) is just extended celeb and judges chat upstairs to cover it all.

The opening pro dance is really fab tho (they had to do it twice as they had a wardrobe malfunction the first time around - not that I cared, of course!)

Did they reveal the dances for next week?
