That's so hard! I still fancy Giovanni. He was adorable in those home videos when he and Kai were roommates during Covid, LOVE the one where they're dressed as Elsa and Anna - I want THAT Giovanni back! Wait - he needs to marry Kai.... well never mind... I'll say

Ellie and Vito were on Lorraine there. Didn't reveal the dance but said it was about 'passion' and 'closeness' - so AT then! Lorraine also tried to get them to say they were shagging but no joy.

Vito also posted some training videos from last week, including Ellie kicking him in the bollocks, which I imagine may not make the ITT blooper reel :ROFLMAO:

I think they have been putting some very long hours in and add on driving to and from Blackpool and the additional work for that they must both be exhausted. I do fear that Nikita is fixating on that perfect score as he is clearly very competitive. James Jordan said that he thinks Layton is the best dancer who has ever been on Strictly (of course he is also being all pearl clutchy about the CC and insisting that Layton should not even be on the show 🙄). Imagine having the best dancer yet not having had the 40 which plenty of other couples have had by this stage in other years? Nikita is going to keep throwing all he can into each dance until he gets that perfect score he is craving. Last night he was talking about the American Smooth being a bit different and Layton was saying no tricks. I think Nikita will want to make it very technically difficult to demonstrate their skills. Whilst they are both amazing dancers and Nikita is a fantastic choreographer what makes them really unique is their connection. I think that’s what he needs to focus on.

I think they must be getting mixed up with what stripping is. The only way they could cover up more is by wearing gloves and balaclava.

I agree with all this, I never thought I’d say it but I think Nikita needs to chill just a tad in his enthusiasm to ‘bring a show’. He said his AS is a bit different, has some waltz & foxtrot in it as well .. instantly, I can hear Craig saying ‘that wasn’t an AS’ 🙈 I do love how excited he is to be able to dance with someone like Layton & to show off his skills, his coreo is really interesting I think. I hope they just zone in on being gentle & loving to sell the story as well as the mad amount of technique that’s clearly being thrown in!

I do think Vito is falling out of favour by turning his act up to 11. He's a lovely guy - clearly an excellent choreographer and teacher but the cartoonification of Vito by the show is kind of going against that and tbh it is beginning to grate.
 
I’m disturbed at the amount of people that still want to shag Fanny rat.

I don’t get any kind of romantic or sexual vibe from Ellie and Vito at all. I’ll be interested to see how they manage the intensity of the AT. All of their dances, other than the Paso and Rumba, have been smiley, cheeky performances. I didn’t get any sexual or romantic vibes from the Paso or Rumba either even though they were both very well done.

Yes, when Claudia asked him about salad or whatever the question was on Saturday, I went out of the sitting room, to pour a glass of wine. Still like him and all that. 😁

They are overdoing it, a bit like they did with the Jay thing and Krishnan. Mildly funny at first. Now drop it.

I thought there was sexual tension in the paso, so it will be interesting to see if they manage that in the AT. The rumba was supposedly deliberately about Ellie's Becoming a Woman or whatever so they steered clear. But yeah, their dynamic has been much more fun/cheeky, and the AT can really expose people..

That's the thing, something is funny once and they run with a joke until it needs to be taken round the back and shot.

Same effect with me when Vito started, egged on by Claudia, just zoned out not wanting to exert any brain time on trying to deduce what the hell he was saying. Thought, here we go again, please talk properly, we all know you can. The Beeb do have a thing about flogging a dead horse and this just detracts from Vito's wonderful talent.

Same with Jay, it was funny at first when the poor lad was embarrassed, but once he started enjoying it, the joke went flat. They would still be doing that each week if Krishnan was still dancing.

I thought Ellie did the dramatic mad face well in the paso but I didn’t get sexual tension until when they finished and he pulled her from the floor and stroked her face. He then beamed seconds later like his puppy self and kissed her killing any sexual tension instantly.

I think they are trying to slot him into the ‘Aljaz’ shaped hole. If he starts being more interested in his chyron on ITT than the interview …
