No offence to teenagers (I was once one and have three of my own) but at this point I feel like the show is being run by them. The overstretching of jokes and some incredibly dire gimmicks and song choices IMO. I sincerely hope Bobby is buying into this CC because I feel it's manipulating a tragedy, rather than it being something cooked up by the producers/his PR team and that's before we even start with Dianne. I feel Annabel was slightly different because she is clearly still within the thick of her grief.

The only way I could accept Knobhys choice of song would be if it was about his step mum. I don’t know if he had/ has one. But to do it about his birth mum would be unforgivable to me personally. Just shut up innit

i hope he hasn’t been talked into it tbh. it isn’t fair to him or dianne - he’s always spoken (fairly eloquently to be fair to him) about his complicated feelings towards jade and how it’s hard for him to “miss” her because he never really “knew” her as such. i was sure he’d want to do something for his dad or brother instead.

for a lot of people though, he is still just known as one of tragic jade’s poor little boys and, even here, everyone expected that his cc would be about her from the moment he signed up. i hope he actually WANTS it to be rather than having been led into it by the show itself (if that makes sense).
 
Random but has anyone ever made the final and had couples choice as one of the dances they skip? I was just thinking that Ellie, who I would say is a pretty much guaranteed finalist, only has 2 weeks left to do hers - either musicals week or the semi final. Has anyone done a CC in the semis before? I'm not sure why I associate them as being something you do earlier on in the comp, I'm not sure if doing it late would be a good or bad thing

I agree. I know that Bobby hasn’t exactly demonstrated much maturity so far but I do worry about how this could impact on him emotionally.

Yes Will last year and John they year before that both of whom ended up in the dance off.

I love Kate Bush and didn’t even know there had been another version of this song.
Using the song for Bobby’s CC really feels like emotional guilt tripping. How are the judges supposed to give an honest critique of a performance to his dead mum. I hate the concept of CC anyway, but if we have to have them then they should all be on the same week.

Helen did hers in musicals week and was able to repeat it in the final.
 
I can't see anything other than a bounce back for Bobby this week. Unless he really is a lot less popular than assumed.

Anyone who likes him, but gave their votes to Nigel last week, will make sure they won't make the same 'mistake' this week.

Layton, I think, is in the most obvious danger.

But even if I think Bobby's safe, I find it so difficult to call between Annabel and Angela, based on public vote.

With the bounce back, the amount of public support he appears to have and the CC Bobby will top the viewer votes this week.

Nobody else has been in the bottom 2 yet so it’s quite unknown.
Angela S has avoided it in her weaker weeks so she could have a lot of people voting for her. The same could be said for Annabelle, I think Jojo’s popularity will pull in a lot of votes there too. Ellie is the only one who is guaranteed to be in the final so she isn’t going anywhere and there are too many Dennis Rickman fans out there who would vote for Nigel if he just stood in the middle of the dance floor not moving for 2 mins.

This does make me think that Layton could be at risk this week as he is easily the most polarising contestant there who Neanderthals will always vote against.

Sharpen up the pitchforks folks.
 
Bobby's dance makes me feel uneasy, for both of them, if I'm honest. It just feels like the producers are using what happened to him as a child to get views and it's not right. He's admitted he doesn't remember Jade so it feels like a weird choice. We've all said on here that he's not the most mature person and now he has a lot to deal with this week. It's not going to be east for him or Dianne. I can only hope that since he said he wanted to dance to that song that it's his choice.
 
I think it’s almost inevitable for Layton this week sadly. I can’t see an AS being a dance to pull in a 40 & it’s a bit of a forgettable one. That alongside his inevitable borrowed time for being a ringer, I think it’s probably going to happen ☹️ and it’ll keep happening as once the ringers start knocking out those on ‘journeys’, the haters get mad,

I actually think Layton will cope with it, he says in twitter this week that he had expected to be fighting for their lives each week. He knows the drill. I think it might hit Nikita quite hard. He's seemed a bit flat the last couple weeks (when not dancing). Not badly or anything but I wonder if he’s maybe tired himself out from being so high energy early series!
 
Christ on a bike - I wasn't familiar with This Woman's Work so I looked up the lyrics and the meaning behind the song and I'm sat here having a little cry! I'm pretty emotional anyway but I had a difficult birth and my baby was very poorly so it hit me pretty hard 😢 no idea how I'll cope hearing it on Saturday, although hopefully the singers will butcher it enough to lessen the emotional impact!
