I see a lot of people saying they are throwing Nigel the sympathy votes....but why? Im just curious because if any other contestant stood up there looking like that, everyone would be calling them an arrogant prick / a diva / a sour lady / an old hag etc. We all do it & there would be the media. People would literally vote them out just for that reason...

Is it literally because he is an attractive man? Or because Katya is literally a goddess and she makes amazing efforts to comfort him etc.

To me he is a bang average contestant....(but is hot AF). The nigel fix can be got watching repeated videos / instagram etc.

LIke do people actually care that much to see what his next dances are?

For me personally Nigel is a better dancer and entertainer than at least 2 or 3 of the celebs left, even with mistakes I would much rather watch him than Angela R, Bobby or even Annabel most weeks. I’m always looking forward to his next dances because I always enjoy them regardless of any issues or underscoring.

Followed him for years now in his theatre productions and tv work, he has been under the radar for much of it since Eastenders.

He looked so handsome tonight, did his tap dance on the piano, conducted the orchestra, what is not to love. Apart from the pesky nit picking judges, can we have Darcy back, even Arlene. Craig has worked with Nigel in the past, am always thinking that he never wants to over mark him because of this, well he certainly isn't doing that eh. :(

edit: But Craig loves him as a leading man. Of course he does because Nigel is a leading man and always has been!

I love Casualty but until this, Nigel just didn't do it for me. He does now so I'll enjoy that extra element to my Casualty Saturdays. Now there's him, Dylan and Ian to look at (and let's face it the storylines have been a bit crap recently).

Why wouldn't they? Being disappointed because you feel you haven't performed your best is perfectly understandable regardless of gender. I'd think that no matter which contestant it was, even one I didn't particularly like.

Maybe I don't frequent the right, or probably wrong, places on the internet, but all this alleged hatred towards female contestants has totally passed me by, even in my DS days. They hated everyone they didn't stan for, male or female!

Jo Jo in the group dance was Fire!!
Lubas face looked off and thejump suit did nothing for her
AngelaRippoff in the group dance was shocking
Not a fan of Bobby's he seemed so loose and a bit unhinged
Rippon was awful, Craig was spot on, it's disgraceful her mistakes are so bad and so ignored
Layton was out of synch with Nikita, given his vast experience I expected more.
NIkita is amazing in a same sex partnership, so different to Gio, who made it obvious at times he wasn't happy, you can see Nikita puts the same energy and feeling into the dances and choro and doesn't shy away from stuff that others might
Neil is still a waste of space
The Blue is lovely on the tennis lady

My mum legitmately asked if Anton was OK, because he reminded her of herself when she started taking mini-strokes!!!

I mean fuckin' hell, Anton! If people who have had strokes think you're having a stroke on live TV, then maybe it's time to have a word with yourself*


*unless you really were having a stroke, of course.
 
I would genuinely pay to watch Nikita & Layton touring. I know some ex contestants & pros do randomly pop up in dance shows together - I REALLY need this to happen 😂 Just 2 hours of filth please. One thing I am LOVING about this pairing is how open people are being about how hot it is to watch them dance 😂

I thought Nikita was gutted tonight that Craig didn’t like it. A mixture of both how competitive he seems to be and also that he genuinely seemed gutted for Layton. Nikita seemed a little out of sorts tonight, maybe I was reading too much through my telly & taken too many drugs (prescribed) but just sensed a slightly off kilter vibe!

I also thought Nikita seemed a bit off. Maybe just tired, especially if he's in pain from his knee.

He’s dancing on a knee injury and maybe thought it was his fault it was slightly off time? He was still ridiculously hot
 
I'd bet there were tears from both Nikita & Nigel behind the scenes. Certainly in Nikita's case, he was crushed that Craig gave it a critique and has had two dances in a row just miss out. Last week didn't do it (though deserved to), this week didn't. That combined with his knee issue (Layton also appears to have a knee issue as he was wearing a knee strap) and he's probably questioning what the hell he needs to do to get a perfect score.

I like him and his partnership but he has been told over several weeks by all the judges that he makes basic errors. He has to get the steps right!

I wonder if maybe a more romantic dance might be the one for them. If they can channel that chemistry & portray a real love story, I think it could really work! And it’d show a real different side to Layton & them as a pair. Alternatively, maybe they can surprise everyone at do it with a rumba?! 👀 praying they don’t miss that out for them .. for purely dance reasons obvs 🤪
