Jokes aside, maybe Dianne's Dad has told her not to come? Some people don't want their families, especially their children, to see them suffering through treatment. Dianne also said he's been watching and told the staff all to watch her so maybe she wants to stay because of that.

It's an awful situation no matter what. Poor Dianne.
 
They are clearly trying to treat her Dads cancer, so her missing Strictly to go essentially do nothing is probably what’s kept her here. There isn’t much you can do while they try to treat it .. I mean obviously be there for them but like every other person, you can’t always put your entire job on hold.. Dianne is lucky she has the money & freedom to be able to take an extended break out with her family from December. I hope she takes it ❤️

In all seriousness, I do hope Dianne is doing OK personally and if she needs to go home, then let her. But let's not pretend she doesn't have a track record of being like this before in her professional life.

I had a look it myself and seems the majority are sticking up for her regarding the circumstances. There seems to be more discourse on there from the Nigel fans tbh but that seems to be everywhere on that forum giving the amount of support he has on there; Ellie seems to have more support from the public in general though; thank god!
 
I think Bobby dancing for the mum he lost aged 5 and has never had therapy for would be really exploitative. I would honestly prefer the post code lottery song for his dad. Dianne shouldn’t have to dance for a parent who died of cancer right now.

I’m interested to see how much the betting odds change tonight. I think both Bobby & Nigel will slip down the rankings with Angela creeping up. Even though Annabel did great I still don’t think it’s enough to stop her from being out within the next 2 weeks.

Oh God, I never even thought of that.

As for Bobby, my uncle died when my cousin was 4 and the majority of stuff she knows about him she knows from other people, so very similar to Bobby and his brother. I could never see her wanting to do a dance in memory of him. She'll sometimes say things like "wouldn't it be great if he was here for this" but I think she'd rather dedicate something like that to her mam because that's who she remembers.

I remember Bobby was asked about his mum, and he said he cannot remember a thing about her.
