I did too... it was really bad and was way over marked... it is like the judges were so convinced it was going to be good that they couldn't bring themselves to correct their marks for what they actually witnessed.

None of the dances were perfect this week, even Ellie's was brilliant but heavy footed at times but it's only Nigel (and Angela S) that gets his ass handed to him. You either give fair critiques to all or none. I think if the other celebrities were pulled up more on their errors it wouldn't weigh in him so much.

Like they totally glossed over any of Angela R's, Ellie's and Laytons... And tbh that actually doesn't help either of them! You need direction and critique, especially if you aren't getting the 10's because it's obviously a case that something needs improvement.

He made mistakes (like everyone bar Angela S imo) but he was seriously undermarked.

And that’s why for me Craig is the most authentic Judge. I’m glad he didn’t bow to the pressure of giving a 10 last night because he didn’t feel that he could obviously.

I agree with the poster who said about Shirley flip flopping between ‘professional dancer with 40+ years of competitions’ and ‘Saturday night TV Reality TV Judge’. The early 10s might be what the Producers etc want but in no way was Eddie’s CC worth the same as any of the 10s handed out last night. They hand them out like Christmas cards from week 3 routinely and it’s nuts. And then when unwarranted high scores come out early, it feeds into rumours that there’s an agenda behind it…

Yeah although I do think he was too hard marking wise on Angela S and Nigel I think he was the best judge on the night. The others were on a different planet 😂😂

He scores using logic whereas the other three seem more driven by emotion. They wet their knickers with excitement when they enjoy a dance and dish out 9s and 10s for any old shite. Anton & Motsi are terrible at delivering feedback. Anton just malfunctions and makes a bunch of noises, and Motsi waffles on without saying anything of substance. I'd like to see at least one judge leaving and being replaced by someone who will actually do the job and score fairly.

‘Anton malfunctions’ is a perfect description of his performance last night. He can’t even string a sentence together let alone deliver any worthwhile feedback. A total waste of space of a judge - and his BBC salary!

In Nigel's case, was it last week, either Motsi or Shirley thanked him for not making mistakes... 🥴. Certainly, at least three out of four of them last week used the word mistake, even in praising him.

I think last night they pretty much ignored all that was good, and went straight for the mistakes narrative with him, yet again. The only other one who has had similar criticism, on other nights, is Angela S. I imagine he and Katya came off the floor last night thinking they had done at least as well as some of the others, until all they heard was MISTAKES and then they ended up second from the bottom on the leaderboard. 😕

So exactly as you said, you either give fair critique to all or none.

This is exactly why he is so distraught, they make it as if he had fallen on his backside a couple of times. The errors were miniscule when you look at the whole spectacle of the dance.

The judges are supposed to build you up not bring you down to breaking point. An odd week of this he took it and brushed it off, but week on week when he is accomplishing some intricate moves and all they say is 'you made a mistake in the corner there', whilst waving their arms in the direction of that corner. The judges must absolutely be enjoying having the upper hand and pulling him apart, whilst Katya has the job of building back his confidence during the week.

Teaching, mentoring and critiquing is an art, a balance of nurturing and learning with empathy, you don't get the best out of anyone when you keep beating them over the head with a stick. Judges, you are making this series quite difficult to watch at times.

The producers have clearly decided that this is Vito’s ‘character’ on the show and he has to go along with it. Same way they decided Angela S & Johannes’ ‘animalography’ was entertaining enough to warrant repeated mentions.
I’m pretty sure Vito’s not pulling Claudia aside each week and saying ‘Hey, in our post-dance interview, ask me about “dance salad” so that I can witter inanely and hilariously for twenty seconds’.

Shirley also complimented him last week on "not making a mistake". Way to give someone back handed feedback.:sneaky:

Something is very off with the judges, especially Madame Ballas towards Katya and Nigel.:unsure:

I can only imagine her couple choice VT

So I’m dancing with this Italian dude and I kinda like him and I think he likes me - I mean he absolute gushes about me on social, calls me his baby and his lulu, when we get through to the next round of the dancing show we are on he bear hugs me and is all touchy feely (noted by audience members) when the lights go out on us. I help him with his vocabulary as it’s a bit tit and in turn he absolute showers me with kisses every Saturday he just won’t do it on the lips and put me and the nation out of my misery! He adores my family and was even quoted as saying he loves my mums gravy but there were some rumours he was seen kissing a blonde lady in the audience at one of the shows oh and I’m known as Ellie from Bury! So I’m doing this couples choice / twerk / lap dance to show him just what he means to me
 
I’d say Ellies journey has been more about how her confidence in herself has grown, I feel like you can watch her coming alive and more herself every week, which isn’t a surprise after so long playing moody Faye, then getting the boot from Corrie and her BF cheating on her. There’s your journey.

Bobby likely lost votes thanks to Nigel,I saw so many throwing him all their votes to save him and then Annabel only had to beat him by literally 1 vote seeing as they were tied on the leaderboard and I think people underestimate how popular Johannes is and how that impacts her votes
