I know this is not official but Dave's poll always seems to be accurate of who is going to be in the bottom two but the biggest shock for me is how low Nigel polled tonight. :eek: I mean Bobby was not that far off him; maybe if Bobby went last and Nigel went first it could have been a different outcome for the dance off.

I'm surprised Annabel got more votes than him; Angela S not so much as she had her best dance tonight. I thought him dancing last would give him a boost; maybe his reaction had something to do with it and put people off.

Layton will probably hit the dance off soon if he does not start pulling in larger votes.

It's most definitely Ellie's for the taking now and I will deffo be voting for her in the final.

It’s not really surprising that Nigel was lower than usual. No offense to Angela S but she hasn’t really had a standout moment in weeks, so a good dance from her was always going to get more votes on the poll. Same with Annabel Although the poll shows a rough idea of how voting might be going I would imagine the actual difference in votes between the contestants will be much bigger than what is shown here. It’s more worrying for Bobby who was so low and in the dance off despite having what was probably his best dance of the series so far. I also don’t think the order of this poll is necessarily the exact order of how the voting goes, I think they usually get the top and bottom couples pretty spot on but those in between I don’t think so.
 
At this point I would be happy with anyone apart from Bobby winning. We are heading into week 10 and he still hasn’t had his standout moment, while all of the others have had at least one or maybe even multiple. I’m still going for an Ellie, Layton & Nigel final and for the first time ever I would be genuinely delighted for any of them to win. If Angela makes it over Nigel I would also be happy for her, but I just don’t see it. I think Ellie will definitely win but i’m really just rooting for Nigel to let loose and come out and smash it going forward, it’s easier said than done though I suppose.
 
I've been voting for Nigel because I'd like to see him in the final, but when it gets to the final I'm leaning more towards Ellie for the win. But I don't have a particular favourite this year, and agree it's making the series feel a bit flat to me. I miss last year when Hamza was my favourite and Helen my second favourite and it was pretty much guaranteed that one of them was going to win it 😅
 
What a long bloody day! Will do a proper debrief tomorrow.
1) Gio couldn’t give a rats arse. Only spoke to Gorka. Completely checked out.
2) Gorka and Jowita together were 👌🏻
3) Johannes is the most beautiful man.
4) Nikita and Layton are hit as hell. Such a genuine friendship between them. Shines through. He was really nervous too.
5) Bobby is a leech. Paws Diane. They barely speak. Odd vibes.Didn’t cheer for others either.
6) Claudia is just a natural comic. Tess is surprisingly warm and lovely off camera.
I’ll do more tomorrow!

Yep, this is how I'm feeling pretty much. I've not really gotten into the series much so I don't really mind who wins, but it would be nice to see Nigel getting his mojo back at some point. Ellie seems nice, but she's not really had any sort of journey or interesting trajectory so I've not really clicked with her. She'd be a worthy winner though

Come next year when the run of Casualty ends will be 😭 all over again I presume. Max Christie and Dylan = fab dynamic.

Followed him for years now in his theatre productions and tv work, he has been under the radar for much of it since Eastenders.

He looked so handsome tonight, did his tap dance on the piano, conducted the orchestra, what is not to love. Apart from the pesky nit picking judges, can we have Darcy back, even Arlene. Craig has worked with Nigel in the past, am always thinking that he never wants to over mark him because of this, well he certainly isn't doing that eh. :(

edit: But Craig loves him as a leading man. Of course he does because Nigel is a leading man and always has been!

Dianne's had a bit of a rough week with her Dad starting chemo so not surprising she was upset after the DO plus she's never actually survived a dance so possibly relief as well.

Depending on who’s in the final I would genuinely chuck a vote to everyone 🤣 If it’s Nigel, Layton, Ellie or even Angela I would be happy with any of them winning. So many brilliant partnerships and would all be deserving.
 
after I've just rewatched all of nikita and layton's dances, youtube offered me this

See I think my Nan would have been a Layton and Nikita fan. She would have loved how close Layton is to his family and she had a bit of a thing for Leonardo after I took her to see Titanic so I think she would have totally got the Nikita love 😂
 
They really need to shake up the judging panel next series. Craig is the only one who pays attention to the technical bits in each dance and gives a proper critique.
He scores using logic whereas the other three seem more driven by emotion. They wet their knickers with excitement when they enjoy a dance and dish out 9s and 10s for any old shite. Anton & Motsi are terrible at delivering feedback. Anton just malfunctions and makes a bunch of noises, and Motsi waffles on without saying anything of substance. I'd like to see at least one judge leaving and being replaced by someone who will actually do the job and score fairly.
