I like Layton with stubble too. I just like him full stop - such a vibrant and lovely young guy. I just do not see what Beryls see when they say he's arrogant.

They can certainly see something I can't see. I remember being baffled by a comment on DS saying they hoped he'd be in the dance off in movie week so they could see the smug smirk wiped off his face and just... what? That was the week he was clearly the most worried. He was in the middle of the leaderboard and knew perfectly well he could be in the dance off. I'm pretty sure he even said after that he was surprised to get through and had been mentally preparing to dance again.

Another Strictly moment that's been blocked from my memory.

I’d forgotten all about that, even though Patrick & Anya were one of my favourite couples.

To be honest, that many female dancers have caught their heel in their costume on this show that the fault has to lie with wardrobe. Jill H & Janette spring immediately to mind, but there have been others too.

I saw him live a couple of years ago and he’s not in bad shape and his voice was great.

Think I've said this before but JD has been flaming awful in mostly everything I've seen him in.

He got away with it in the Sound of Music and Priscilla cos of the supporting cast but he was woefully exposed in Calamity Jane. At one point, he was "singing" Anything you can do and the actors behind him were rolling their eyes as he missed notes. The lassie playing Jane was fabulous which made him look worse!!

Karens ex is so strange. He apparently took his dead mums ring without his dads permission and gave that to Karen as an engagement ring. (which btw is only £60 from H Samuel I'm not materialistic but I wouldn't be happy with that even if it was sentimental :/)

This is weird every which way. Why has his dad gone to the press with this? How is a £60 H Samuel ring now worth £1900? What on earth possessed Karen to embark upon a third marriage to a rando she met online who lived on the other side of the world and who she barely knew?

I thought it was a pretty awful show tonight but yes, we too ended up shouting "HIGHER!" or "LOWER!" at the telly.

I thought there was a bit of an odd vibe in the panel but I'm going to say it - Dan Bore-ker knew exactly what he was doing when he threw away his paddle face up so the camera could see he would have voted for Rippon.

Funny how subjective we are, I thought the panel (and I groaned when she introduced Dan and Maisie) were good together - larking around and Janette didn't know how to deal with it comically. As for Dan, that was obviously intended so I didn't take the upside paddle flinging seriously. I can't see him without thinking of lobster!

I didn't like Layton at first- I hated his camp/diva persona and it being acted out in his dances, it was 'basic' attention seeking/show off behaviour. But that's the audience's journey - liking or not liking a celeb to vice versa, not knowing a celeb to recognising them and looking forward to their work after scd. I'm a fan of his now.

**re the term Beryl or Karen, it's such an offensive, and generalising of women who have opinions, it's ageist and misogynistic.

Yeah Layton had both knees strapped in ITT footage making me think it was knee pads.. but only one yesterday.
Vito had his knee strapped during the week too. (I did appreciate the white shorts though ). Maybe Bobby’s suffering from the #sprungfloor

They also didn’t get a day off this week so it must be physically tough.

Mine too. If only they'd have been allowed the same chance as Ramps and Karen. So many heels getting caught over the years, trousers splitting open and Chelsea Healey's top breaking and nearly falling down leaving Pasha to stand in front of her so she didn't flash everyone.
