I’m sad to see KGM go! He really brought something to the show and he was a joy to watch. I think it’s unusual to see such an obvious improvement and given he’s not a performer of any kind, I loved it. I do agree with the poster who said in his IG story yesterday afternoon he seemed resigned to the fact he might be eliminated.

I hope Lauren gets a partner next year and a really good one too. A very successful first series for her.
I’ve honestly just stopped laughing at what looked like Dianne running away from The Bobby and then trying to trip him up on the stairs 😂.

I don’t think Shirley could be any more condescending if she tried, to both Angela R and Nigel. She seems happy with the female contestants left though, she hasn’t been a cuntychops to one for a few weeks now!

I don’t think Strictly will ever have a same sex partnership like Leyton and Nikita again, it’s just magical. I loved the fact they were both in matching suits, it keeps them one step ahead of all the pearl clutchers who write to Points of View about a man wearing a skirt on the Beeb.

And judges mentioning Nigel's non mistakes, erm why? He didn't make a mistake so don't talk about something that didn't occur.
They don't go on and on to all the others celebs about their mistakes especially when they make a mistake (even declaring they'll ignore the mistake!)
Trying to make Nigel's USP "no mistakes this time" is knocking not confidence boosting.

This post mentions mistakes a lot - call me judge

I thought the same: the feedback was essentially ‘well done on not bleeping up like usual’. It was pretty unpleasant.

I’m now wondering how much ‘choice’ the couples actually get in ‘couples choice’. Nigel & Katya have definitely hinted a few times this week ‘we did what we could with what we were given’ 🤔

Me too. I wanted them in matching, beautiful suits right from when I heard they were doing AT. It was perfect for the dance.

Random thought just popped into my head: how much would I love to have seen a Karen/Jayde AT?! It would have been amazing in the totally opposite way to Layton & Nikita’s 🤣

Sorry to barge in on the spoiler chat, but I have a question about Dancing with the Stars US, if anyone watches it (I'm not able to) Is it more of a popularity contest than an actual dancing contest? And why does each dance seem so short? 🤔 Dances on strictly are 90 seconds, right? These feel much shorter, although I haven't timed them.

I happened to be on Alyson Hannigan's Instagram last night (being a lifelong Buffy fan) when I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd watch her videos of all her dances so far and... well....she's not great. But somehow she's still in the competition?



Her paso face is sending me - it's literally 😬

Is the critique less harsh there than it is on our show?

She kicked off on Twitter when she got eliminated and seemed to honestly think she was the best dancer and should have won.

DWTS is 2 hours with ad breaks so they have to cut corners a bit.

They really aren’t harsh at all there - Americans couldn’t take someone like Craig. However, Alyson isn’t even the worst person left. There is a guy from Too Hot To Handle who dances like Les Dennis with abs. Truly awful. I think their voting system allows for more invested fans to really vote hence some rogue results.

Because she was an entitled, narky, mean spirited vibes celeb and thought she could dance better than she actually could (and thought she was funnier than she actually was - Victoria Wood would not be proud!)

I just didn’t get what they did with his costume. Someone on DS said he looked like a golf pro doing a turn at the club shop and meanwhile Katya looked stunning. Same last week when he was in an old t-shirt. I also thought they could have done with some kind of set for that dance to accentuate the Gene Kelly vibe.

Thanks, I thought it must be something like that. When I saw Miro Sorvino go out, who seemed to dance quite beautifully in the dance that I saw, and compared it to some of the people still in I presumed there was more of a popular vote going on.

Their voting system is weird since they got rid of the results show. People have to vote without actually seeing the dances because of the time difference in different parts of the country.

I would actually love to see Craig guest judge over there, there would be uproar.
