I think Annabel will be managed out next week. She's accomplished what she set out to do, she's never going to be a finalist and she's probably going to struggle with a samba. Johannes deserves to decompress too, he's given so much of himself to support her through a terrible time in her life. 🥺

I expect to see Krishnan or Angela S against her in the D.O. with Grangela getting a bounce-back before bowing out at Blackpool.

A Layton/Nikita AT will be 🔥🔥🔥
Vito introducing Ellie to his 🍆 dish 🤣🔥🤣

I think the producers "manage" people out too! I have this weird obsession with Carlos - he's very handsome, but it's more empathy or motherly worry... oh I don't know. I'm one of those people who gets overinvolved in parasocials.

Anyhow, I also feel for Angela S and hope she goes on tour, assuming she wants to. I wonder if their cast management involves who Craig wants on tour (and his production team). I see two of Angela S's dances as being really good for a tour arena: that Fosse number and her Halloween paso. It doesn't really matter if there were flaws or what the scores were - I think it's whether they'll look good or exciting to the back row in a huge venue. I mean just the red hair matters, amIrite Dianne?

If they plan on 7 in the tour, they can't just have Ellie, and what if something happened and she couldn't do it? (though I'm pretty sure it's part of their contracts to be available, unless they're given an 'out') So anyway, if not Ellie, or if only Ellie, you'd need another female celeb, so Angela S? I think she's more dynamic than Annabel or Angela R (and would they risk Ang R? - what if she had a stroke or something?) So then you're down to Zara or Nikita?

Sorry to ramble. Just come Carlos - get another year or two out of Strictly!

I’ve been pondering the tour line up too.
Presume Nigel, Ellie and Layton are a given.
My other 2 possibles- Ange S, Annabel,
Defo not - Krishnan (Lauren on tour)
Would love Adam to do it to give Luba a chance to shine but not sure about his health
Ange R surely couldn’t cope with the pace, leaving Kai without a partner again. He can’t sub for Gorka again this time and AJ will never do it , so he’s relegated to backing dancer.
backing girls - Jowita, Nancy, Michelle
Backing boys - Neil, Jake , Graz or Kai?
 
I keep rewatching the opening pro dance 😍 our Jojo was amazing but I keep rewatching Lauren and Vito they look amazing in it!! Jowita temporarily annoyed me she was completely in time but at one point her arm felt half a second behind everyone else and it’s all I noticed 😂 basically this is me volunteering to take over from Craig when he retires 😂
 
Evilly enjoyed seeing Rippon's shock at DO, how dare the British public not make her national treasure!

From the DO (cos that's what the judges decide from right 😒) Adam should have stayed, he improved his crap dance.
Adam ticked all the Book of Will quotes.
Luba was in love with him

Good point about female celeb line up for tour. Maybe they'll look at a female from another year?
 
Fellow Nigel and Katya fans, if you’re capable of tolerating Joe Sugg then they’re on this week’s podcast episode. It’s a very fun interview and shows just how well they get along.

(I haven’t listened to the podcast in years and I’d forgotten quite how irritating I find Joe but it was worth it for Nigel and Katya.)

I feel sorry for his handlers, they must be constantly tearing their hair out with worry over what off the wall thing he's going to say next. Media training clearly just goes in one ear and the other with him 😂

Adam was ready to leave, I think. He looked absolutely shattered. I quite liked their dance, but in fairness, I haven't a clue about what it should or shouldn't be iykwim. He and Luba had a lovely partnership, and I think he worked really hard and acquitted himself well. He didn't bang on about being a non-dancer either, and was so positive about what he learned. As has been said the others seemed really fond of him too. Maybe he will do a Tom and Amy on it and continue to dance with Luba, even though he is out 😁. Joking 🤣. Daddy's fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

I'm not bothered about Angela R, one way or the other, I always end up watching Kai when they are dancing. I love Kai. She won't like it when her turn comes to be sent home though 😁. Even though she said on the night that she was announced as a participant, that she wouldn't win. Maybe the old competitive spirit is up now. The judges amuse me slightly with her. They don't really criticise her much, but then proceed to give her a 6, like Shirley did on Saturday night.

The pro dance was fab-u-lous. They should definitely involve Oti more often in the choreography. I liked Karen and Nancy dancing. Karen was positively beaming throughout. I loved the singer dancing with them, it added a bit of fun, imo.
 
One of the things I love about Strictly is that try as some of the celebs might to manage their image, the sheer exhaustion of weeks of dance practice means that they cannot stop their true selves coming out. I was fully geared up to find Adam deeply irritating but he turned out to be nowhere near as annoying as expected abs actually quite a sweetheart . Luba seems much smitten with him and his family. Conversely Angela R seems not to be all sweetness and light. Her reaction to the judges scoring was hilarious!
