You can bet if he gets a proper contender he'll be full-on 100% showmancing, lingering looks, the lot. I'll never get over him attending the Strictly, tour, in which his then-girlfriend Jowita was appearing, and posting about his own show at halftime while never mentioning the show he was actually at.

Surely no one would buy another one? After pulling that trick full on with Ranvir, heavily leaning into it with Rose and dropping hints of it with Michelle, Faye, Debbie, etc etc.

I just can’t see anyone buying it and his Facebook Beryls are still convinced he’s Rose’s eventual fairytale prince (🤣) so would presumably be fuming if he did?

Yeah he has now backed himself into a corner. A showmance would taint the great fairytale romance, but if he is partnered with an attractive woman he won't be able to resist. Maybe he needs to hope for a famously married woman like Emma Willis (though that might not help..)

On the subject, this made me laugh: someone posted in one of the FB groups 'who would you like to see Giovanni dance with in SCD 2023?'. I don't think some of the respondents have grasped the show’s rules 😂

Oh bleeping hell #freerose

I did really like their partnership at that time but since I’ve often found myself wishing she was partnered with Kai/Gorka/Nikita to avoid all this. I realised it was really her I liked 🤣

Some people on twitter are acting shocked that Cameron wasn’t brought back…

He was benched for his two years there and they didn’t even give him a christmas special partner. He was out of sync with the others in virtually every group dance. He didn’t go on any of the tours and didn’t even make an effort to put himself out there on social media. I don’t see what the shock is

I’d be amazing if your average Strictly viewer had the slightest clue who he was - I forgot who he was most of the time!

So disappointed this isn't coming anywhere near where I live, if love to go and see Pasha in it

Having seen Pasha’s ‘acting’ in the Strictly VTs, this could be amazing for all the wrong reasons! 🫤

It’s the perfect way to connect to his target audience for his tours (older ladies) so he’d be a mug to turn down the exposure as well.
I think that’s it, he knows what side his bread is buttered on. I chummed my friend to his show (I wouldn’t have bought tickets - I’m too young 😂) at the end of March and he announced he was coming back this year and I was a bit surprised but I think he is using the show to his advantage. His tour seemed to have been a hit, he’s already arranged next year’s and he wouldn’t have got prime time BBC if it wasn’t for Strictly.

I don’t really follow any of them, did anyone else announce they were back before today?

I like that the DM has headline of Dancer QUITS the show … when most Strictly watchers will just be thinking … Cameron, who’s he then? 🤷‍♀️
According to the metro he quit and Strictly say the door is always open to him

You can tell it’s Friday…what the DM said and what the Metro say are the same thing 🤦🏻‍♀️ the DM even used the shouty capitals (captials?) and now I can’t edit my post

Could Gorka be benched/ask not to have a partner this year because of baby?

*Runs and hides from Gorka’s fans*

I’d really like Luba and Nadiya to have contenders this year.

I wouldn’t mind if Kai was benched, the teeth give me the ick

Someone on the SCD reddit seems to think that with Cameron & Chloe both not featuring as main pros that it means that SCD doesn't care about cultivating young, new talent and cited DWTS Ireland having a 20 year old pro as an example of why they should have featured Cameron more.

What a load of baloney. Can't they just see that he wasn't the right fit and not try and view it as some sort of ageism? Nikita & How's Trish AJ both got partners immediately and became fixtures very quickly and they were both young when hired.

What a weird argument. Especially considering How's Trish was treated pretty favourably when he was on the show and he wasn't exactly retirement age

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that this year was DWTS Ireland's last year. Then again, I know someone who worked on it and he never mentioned that it was. Either way, it's not great and I much prefer Strictly. While some of the pros are good I don't think I'd swap any of them for any of the pros on Strictly. Also, I find Doireann a bit annoying.

Edit: AJ was quite young when he joined Strictly wasn't he? And he did really well in general but especially in his first season.

i’m sure AJ was only 21/22 when he joined!

as said above, cameron’s age didn’t come into it for me: he was just never the right fit for the show and there were multiple times in group numbers where even i (a complete non-dancer) could see he was out of time. he seems sweet enough but the fact that they never even tried him with a partner on a christmas or charity special speaks volumes. has that ever happened to one of the pro cast before? even chloe got a specials chance right?

Yes - AJ was 21 when he started.

It's not like young dancers can't work. I make no secret of the fact that I think Nikita is brilliant, and of course, Aljaž was only 23 when he joined and won with Abbey. How's Trish might be a bit of a plonker but he too was a good pro. Then DWTS in the USA had the Houghs, Mark Ballas & Cheryl Burke all joined in their early 20s, with thirteen wins between the four of them. Even DWTS Ireland has cultivated young talent, Kai was 21 when he started and did pretty well there, I like their current 20 year old dancer Ervinas as well.

Point is - wrong dancer, not the wrong age.
